Francesca Alice or Annabel Georgia opinions please?

I have 8 weeks to go until DD2 arrives. I have narrowed down our list to these two names, both are classic and have nice shortenings. Our surname begins with C. Which do you prefer and any other name suggestions?

Annabel Georgia is lovely. Francesca Alice also nice but prefer Annabel.

Annabel Georgia is lovely. Like others have said, I'm not keen on the nicknames for Francesca but like Anna/Annie/Belle. Although the Annabel I know has always just been Annabel.

I prefer Francesca Alice or Alice Franscesca. Francesca needn't be shortened to Fran; I know a Cesca, aka Chessie.

Not a fan of Annabel or Georgia.

I actually like the two hard C's next to each other. Francesca Cooper, e.g. sounds good. She doesn't have to be Fran. She can be Francesca, Frances, Frankie, Chess, Chessa, Ciska (soft s like you'd have in Frances), Sissy, etc. Grin

I really like the name Francesca, but I don't think it flows well with Alice (due to the two 'a' sounds next to eachother), and also don't think it will work with a C surname due to the two 'c' sounds together. Even if you add more middle names, she'll be Francesca C...... Most of the time. So I vote Annabel Georgia.

Francesca Alice is lovely, though Annabel Georgia is also pretty it doesn't have the impact that Francesca Alice has, also I prefer the Annabelle spelling. Francesca is not as popular as Annabel and its many derivatives so that is another plus.
I'd be cautious of adding a third name unless it was one you really loved or one with perhaps family links, you risk just adding a standard "middle" name.

Short names to go with Alice Francesca:
Jane, Anne, Kate, Rose.

Or you could go with Alice Annabel.

Yes it's a good idea something short might work. Any suggestions? Does it matter if DD1 has one middle name and DD2 would have two? I am probably over thinking this as my brother has two and I have one.

I love Alice Francesca but my hubby won't have it as the initials would spell AFC, a certain football club!

I would use Alice Francesca and not the other way round.

I like Annabel but not Georgia.

(but I may be biased, it is almost my Grandmother's name (Frances not Francesca) and both names are in my girls middle names)

I find it more unusual than Annabel. I am not a fan of Georgia.

I've just thought, does your surname start with a hard c sound? As if it does, it could sound repetitive with the end of Francesca. In which case I
change my vote to Annabel.

They're both gorgeous, you have great taste. I think Francesca has the edge as I don't hear it used much any more and Annabel sounds similar to Isabel which is really popular. But I'd just wait till after she's born and see what suits her the best.

You have fabulous taste OP. I have a Georgia and seriously considered Francesca. I love the other names too so I'm really not helpful.
I think Georgia Annabel flows nicely too if you would use it that way round. Congrats :)
