If me and partner ever have a boy he wants to call it Dave, and I'm very against this name as I think it's not suitable for a baby it's like an old man's name, I love the name tommy!!!!

Dp is Dave. I think David is lovely for a little boy, but not Dave.

Baby David!

I actually think David is a beautiful name (it's my DH's name and he's not old!) It think Dave is quite cute to be honest but I am aware I may be on my own in thinking that!

Old men, generally started off as babies. They didnt just all change their name to Dave once they turned 50

DH initially suggested this in jest for DS1. It just reminded me of 'Baby Dave' on 'the Royal Family'.

I do however like David and Thomas. There's not much between them.

Tommy isn't very appropriate for an adult man.

So swings and roundabouts.

Would David/Thomas be on the birth certificate?
