12 weeks pg with DC3. Girls name probably sorted. Boys much harder!

Thoughts please on:

Gabriel
Seth
Franklin
Dawson
Wyatt
Henry

I like Gabriel & Henry from your first list, and Auden & Josiah from your second.

I'm not keen on the others, and I particularly dislike Seth.

I love Seamus. I have listed it for all three of our kids. Two were girls and it got vetoed for the boy Sad

Gabriel where I come from is sometimes shortened to gay or gabe. It's a shame as Gabrielle is a beautiful name as is Gabriel

Dawson - not for me, very American surnamey
Wyatt - not for me, very cowboy-y
Henry - don't like traditional names like this, sorry
Malachy - love it
Seamus/ Shay - sorry, don't like, particularly Shay
Auden - love it
Josiah - love it
Jonah - prefer Judah

In fairness to the OP, she didn't say Shay was a nickname for Seamus did she? She just wrote Seamus/Shay. Which some people do with different names on their list which they think of as having similar sounds.

Am really sorry, but Shay isn't the usual short form of Seamus. It's a completely separate name.
You can use it if you like, of course .Am honestly not being critical, just sharing information.

The usual shortening for Seamus = James is 'Shemmie' = Jimmie.

Chay, which can sound very similar to Shay, is a nickname for Charles.

Wyatt- i hate this. Not a fan of surnames as firstnames anyway but I find the sound really unappealing.
Henry- Nice. Yes, it's fairly popular at the moment but it's a classic.
Malachy- Nice
Seamus/ Shay- Love this. I like Seamus with Shay as a nn.
Auden- don't like and I find it pretentious
Josiah- Nice
Jonah- I love this. I also love the variant Jonas/

We had Seth on our list for ds - also had Saul, Eli and Warwick if that's any use!
DH went off Seth 'in case he has a lisp' Hmm which has to be the worst reason for vetoing a name but ended up not using it anyway...(used one of the others though)

Love Seamus and Seoras (Gaelic for George). Malachy and Henry are fine too. In fairness though my top choice for my son was Elvis! Archie is now 3!!!

Gabriel and Seth are lovely. Seamus is quite nice if you have Irish connections.
