Not keen on Meredith. Matilda, then Annabel.

Mathilda is too popular
Annabelle is too girly

The only drawback for Meredith for me is that far from it being a wet girly name, my Welsh speaking friend says that is a very butch man's name in Wales .

Definitely Meredith for me - I think the opposite of Bowlersarm - to me it sounds strong and not overly girly.

Matilda is nice but its current popularity would bother me.

Annabel I think of as being a bit frilly and horsey-sounding. Like Anna/Anya though.

Annabel. Pretty. Doesnt need to be shortened, but if you want to there are lovely options-Anna/Annie/Belle/Bella.

Matilda is ok.

Really not keen on Meredith. Sounds wet, to me.

Meredith, Matilda then Annabel.

Annabelle/Annabel reminds me of the Baby Annabelle doll. Nothing wrong with that, but I would prefer Anna.
