I read it as Mariana, which is quite nice. Marlana is not nice at all, I just think of Marlene from only fools too.

I like Marlena - there's a great Suzanne vega song called Marlena on the wall. It's classic, and pretty. It would be on my list for a dd!

yes it is pronounced that way, oh i didn't realise Marlena is a nicer spelling. What do you think to the name?

How is it pronounced? Is it mar-lay-na? If so the usual spelling is Marlena I think.
