Clara, Cecilia or Beatrice?

We've narrowed it down those those three after deciding my first idea of Clemency was a bit too risky. I'm sure whichever we chose will be good as we like them all but still undecided. I think I prefer clara because it doesn't need to be shortened like the others

Cecily and clementine are nice

maggiethemagpie · 16/08/2014 02:22

Clara. Prefer Cecily to Cecilia. Don't like Beatrice

pebblestack · 15/08/2014 20:27

Love Clara. Classy and not too common.

SweetPea3 · 15/08/2014 20:24

I love all three and can't choose one over the others! You can't go wrong really! :)

SummerScoop · 15/08/2014 20:22

Clara
I prefer Cecily to Cecilia.

thoughtsescapeme · 14/08/2014 02:13

Love Clara, and think Cecilia is gorgeous. I've never met a small Cecilia so might go for that one.

Alisvolatpropiis · 14/08/2014 01:54

Cecilia is lovely.

Then Clara.

Beatrice is not my favourite.

Alita7 · 14/08/2014 01:42

I love all 3!

If I had to put them in order I'd say Clara, Beatrice, Cecilia.

williaminajetfighter · 14/08/2014 01:18

I love Cecilia. Clara and especially Beatrice are much more popular so if that's a factor I'd go with Cecilia. I knew a Cecilia who was very kind abs think of it as a 'kind' name IYSWIM

Squirm · 14/08/2014 01:15

Clara.

But do love Bea

Sleepyhoglet · 13/08/2014 22:51

Given that so many people are spelling Cecilia differently to how I like it I think that's going out!

Massive fan of beatrice!

NuggetofPurestGreen · 13/08/2014 13:10

I don't think a lot of pregnant women watch Dr Who, do they? Isn't it a children's programme?

Ha ha!

AlpacaYourThings · 13/08/2014 13:08

Not keen on Clara or Cecelia. Beatrice is lovely though.

squoosh · 13/08/2014 13:07

'I don't think a lot of pregnant women watch Dr Who, do they? Isn't it a children's programme?'

Uh oh! Be careful or they'll hear you.

ToffeeMoon · 13/08/2014 13:06

Funniy enough - I know of two Clemencys!

ToffeeMoon · 13/08/2014 13:06

Other Dr Who names that went to the top of the ONS baby name list were already popular. Clara is well out of the top 100 and I don't know any. I don't think it's cutesy enough to sky rocket. Unlike Amelia (another Who name) - which totally suited the fashion for pretty, cutesy names.

Sleepyhoglet · 13/08/2014 12:07

I'm peeved about the dr who thing as I never watch it and didng even know until I was searching the name clara to find out associations.

We have a Cecilia and a Beatrice in the family, I like both. Beatrice gets Bea sometimes, Cecilia is always Cecilia (not even sure what it would be shortened too). Are you thinking Clara like Dr Who companion Clara or pronounced Clare-a? We have a family friend pronounced the second way which I prefer. I suspect that the former may well be popular now because of the Dr Who connection.

MollyBdenum · 12/08/2014 22:22

Beatrice.

I can't understand all the love for Clara, it's awful.

Thanks. Glad that you are in the minority then as my daughter's name is lovely.

bringbackfonzi · 12/08/2014 21:38

Clara. Also love Clemency!

Montsti · 12/08/2014 17:40

I love Beatrice nn. Bea! The other 2 are ok but not mad about them.

mummybare · 12/08/2014 17:37

Love Cecelia, but the other two are nice too.

PisforPeter · 12/08/2014 17:33

Beatrice is beautiful
