Hi

Dd3 was born on 1st Aug and she is still nameless. It's getting to the point now where it's starting to stress me out, especially when i have people calling daily to see if she has a name yet!

Dd1 is Libby, dd2 is Poppy.

My short list was Tess, Gabriella and Sophia. Middle name is going to be Ivy (grandmother's name).

I don't mind the nn Gabby, but can't stand Gab or Gabs which it will likely get shortened to by some people, which i suppose rules Gabriella out. I am also aware if the popularity of Sophia but do not know any with that name where i live or in dd's nursery/school, so i am still seriously considering it. Everyone pulls their face at Tess, which i know i shouldn't let influence me but it is doing.

I also love Pearl but surname begins with L so it just doesn't flow right, it sounds like she is called Pear when you say the full name.

My mum is pushing me to call dd Ivy, but i just can't see her as an Ivy.

I am very indecisive with names, it took me over a week to chose dd1's and 3 weeks to chose for dd2!!

I like Tabitha, Florence and Alice too.

I am scouring baby name websites whilst dd is feeding throughout the night and am now dreaming of them, it's driving me crazy.

I would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions of other names i might like. I am setting myself a deadline of 2 days to decide!

Thanks

If only they came with names printed on them!

Cheeky76890 · 16/08/2014 10:58

Gabby and Libby are too similar

Cheeky76890 · 16/08/2014 10:57

Tess is nice

AlpacaYourThings · 13/08/2014 20:29

I love Alice, especially with your other DD's names.

SpearmintLino · 13/08/2014 16:50

Has Claudia Ivy been mentioned yet? Or Martha Ivy? I like these Smile

AWombWithoutARoof · 13/08/2014 15:43

I love Tabitha and Tess.

I also love Bess.

angeltulips · 13/08/2014 14:55

Tess is short for Theresa isn't it?

Theresa ivy l-

Sounds lovely!

twinjocks · 13/08/2014 14:52

My first of August girl is Daisy (she turned 20 on your baby's birthday!), so that was my instant thought! And it goes with Libby and Poppy. From the names you've listed, I really like Tess/a and Tabby.

HerbieRidesAgain · 11/08/2014 21:16

*Can't

HerbieRidesAgain · 11/08/2014 21:16

Congratulations on DD3 arrival. I love the names of your oldest DD's
I think Ivy works really well but if its not her name its not her name :)
Alice
Martha
Matilda (nn Tilly)
Grace
Isabel (nn Izzy)
Can;t wait to hear what you pick :)

Delta987 · 11/08/2014 14:56

Hi Happyfeet, if it's not too late, I have a friend whose daughter is Gabriella and her nn is Bella which I think is lovely. Then again, her friends call her Gabs / Gabby etc which isn't so nice!

Pandora37 · 11/08/2014 14:31

My vote goes for Tess. Libby, Poppy and Tess sound adorable although I think I would use Tessa as the full name. Alice and Sophia are lovely too.

I like Tabitha but Tabby/Tabs is likely.

ButterflyOfFreedom · 11/08/2014 12:26

I love Sophia.

I like Gabriella but agree the nicknames aren't great - Gobby Gabby etc...

Not keen on Tess, Alice, Florence or Tabitha.

The Poppy's I know have sisters Grace, Daisy, Chloe, and Faye.

How about:
(to continue the 'y' endings)
Millie
Aimee
Bethany
Carley
Janey
Lucy
Evie
Hayley
Emily
Sophie
Ruby

Or:
Matilda
Anna
Cora
Ava
Jemima
Martha
Nicole
Georgia
Freya
Saffron
Amelia

Thanks for the input all, you have given me lots to mull over.

I did want to avoid another 'ee' sounding name but it's not ruled out completely.

I will pop back on and let you know when it's been decided.

I have friends who decided on a name as soon as they found out that they were pg! I don't know how they do it!

I like Alice or Tess best. I think Alice Ivy goes really nicely together, let us know what you choose!

Sootgremlin · 11/08/2014 12:04

Carrie lovely with Libby and Poppy too.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 11/08/2014 09:45

Libby, Poppy and Jennifer really nice together. :)

Sootgremlin · 11/08/2014 08:44

I love Tess - do you like Teresa as a full name?

Holly, Bryony, Olivia?

Cassie, Penny, Heidi?

Congratulations!

Wishfulmakeupping · 11/08/2014 07:48

Really like the suggestions of Violet and Georgia they flow well with your dd names :)

cakedays · 11/08/2014 00:46

Alice Pearl? The L problem won't be as striking with a middle name.

CarriMarie · 11/08/2014 00:25

Tabitha Ivy goes best with your other dds, or maybe Jemima or Freya.

jazzyjenbo · 10/08/2014 23:26
