Just found out we are having a little girl!

I love the names Phoebe, Heidi and Autumn- to be honest we had pretty much decided on Phoebe but I just want to be sure.

Please rate the other names on my list and open to suggestions of anything else I might like!

My dd is Phoebe; loved its meaning too!!

Bowlersarm · 09/08/2014 19:57

Autumn

Or

Hebe

NOT phoebe

ralinax294 · 09/08/2014 19:52

Phoebe - Favourite of these, love it
Heidi - Really like it
Autumn - Okay but not too keen

Sophronia · 09/08/2014 14:27

I'm not keen on any of them, sorry. I really don't like the 'fee-bee' sound of Phoebe, unfortunately it reminds me of the word 'feeble'. If I had to pick one it would be Heidi.

Onesleeptillwembley · 09/08/2014 12:40

Phoebe and Heidi are great. Autumn is awful.

dottytablecloth · 09/08/2014 12:37

Thanks for the opinions.

I really do like phoebe!

I don't mind if it's popular, as it's popular because it's nice, but I hate it when people on here say "you can't move round here for tripping over little phoebes!"

Autumn's my favourite, but Phoebe is a nice name too. Don't really like Heidi, sorry.

Andcake · 09/08/2014 08:51

I like both but think phoebe with autumn as a middle name could be nice phoebe autumn - nice

serendipity16 · 09/08/2014 08:50

I prefer Autumn, i think its beautiful.
Phoebe is nice but i'm not keen on Heidi.

Pebbles0934 · 09/08/2014 02:05

I like Autumn best if it was my child but that's my taste! All the names are nice! You can have combinations of Phoebe Autumn or Heidi Autumn but not Phoebe Heidi!

For the record I had no idea Kerry Katona had a daughter called Heidi nor do I care! It reminds me of the books! Only ever met one Heidi and one Autumn and know quite a few Phoebe's. 2 in my daughter's class. But don't think they are everywhere! Not like Ruby's or Lily's!

HollyBen · 08/08/2014 21:41

Phoebe is a lovely name. It would be on my girls list for dc2 except dd's best friend at nursery is called Phoebe

Tweediestwo · 08/08/2014 21:24

I like phoebe!

Good luck!

Heidi
Phoebe
Autumn

HaroldLloyd · 08/08/2014 21:07

It's a nice name, they were just my random musings!

m0therofdragons · 08/08/2014 20:58

Kerry not key

m0therofdragons · 08/08/2014 20:57

I have a Heidi and only on mn does anyone mention key katona. In rl I don't think my friends know the names of her children. Anyway, dh and I loved both phoebe and Heidi but working in a school I found phoebe becoming increasingly popular so we went with Heidi. Plus we met a 4yo Heidi who was hilarious and cute.
Not keen on season names personally but do know an autumn who is very sweet.

RiverTam · 08/08/2014 20:54

Heidi
Autumn
Phoebe

one of my cats is a Hebe. We have a lot in our garden.

enriquetheringbearinglizard · 08/08/2014 20:52

I just find season names pretentious whilst being a bit dippy (sorry, no offence meant and I know that Princess Anne's DIL is called Autumn)

Heidi for me is one of those...either the story book or Kerry Katona's daughter, so neither have great connection in my own eyes. I knew one Heidi but she was an addict, so that isn't a great association for me either Sad
Am sure there are lots of lovely people called the name though. Again, sorry, it's just my personal experience.

I like Phoebe and I know a lady called this too, she's an extremely nice and kind woman.
I also think the name works for a little girl just as well as a grown person.

dottytablecloth · 08/08/2014 20:52

Ok thanks skiing I've never heard of it before!

Phoebe is by far the nicest!

Hebe is a girls name (like the plant) but isn't as nice as Phoebe. Phoebe Autumn is lovely!

Skiingmaniac · 08/08/2014 20:44

Behind the Name: Meaning, Origin and History of the Name Hebe. Derived from Greek '??? (hebe) meaning "youth". In Greek mythology she was the daughter of Zeus and Hera. She was a goddess of youth who acted as the cupbearer to the gods.

Gingerjv · 08/08/2014 20:43

I like Autumn the most! It's very sweet and so special! Love Summer as well;-)

dottytablecloth · 08/08/2014 20:41

Is Hebe a name? Confused

OP posts:
Skiingmaniac · 08/08/2014 20:25

How about Hebe

Pandora37 · 08/08/2014 20:24

I think Phoebe has been consistently popular for a long time, in that I know a few of varying ages but it's not so popular that it's everywhere and there are 5 in each class. I just looked at the 2012 name stats, it's no. 28 and has been hovering around there for the past 5 years. It has got more popular over the last decade but I don't think it's going to suddenly shoot up.

I LOVE Phoebe, it's one of my favourites. How close are you to the work colleague?
