Can we use Alice when DH is Alastair?

We are looking at names for DC1 due in Nov, sex is a surprise. DH has recently suggested Alice which I love and it goes well with middle name and our surname.

However, I had discounted this in my earlier thoughts and not even mentioned it to DH as it is very similar in sound to his name- he is Alastair. Is it too similar to DH's name to use?

He thinks this isn't a problem, but I can't decide if it actually matters or not.

Use the name you like! If it works then why not?

I don't think it matters. My name is similar to one of my DS's & I don't think anyone has ever even noticed. Certainly nobody has ever commented.

I love the name Alice.

It's a pretty name.

Bit like the Will Smith - Willow, Jada Smith - Jaden thing.
