Early 20th cent chic - and floral:

Elsie (23 places), Ivy (22), Violet (22), Beatrice (19), Mollie(13), Evelyn(12), Maria(11), Matilda (11), Rose (10)/Rosie (10)

I'm not surprised about Violet. I've known of three babies given that name recently, and each mum told me they liked it because it is unusual.

I know one Amelia. I don't know any Olivers. But then I never knew any baby Jacks either.
