Anna
Julia
Tessa
Maria
Alexandra (nn alex)

I have no idea why they all end in 'a', not deliberate! Dd1 has a name ending in 'a' also, must be some unconscious bias.

Of Joanna and Lara, I wold choose Lara.

Bootoyou2 · 09/08/2014 20:15

Anna

Cuppatea14 · 09/08/2014 20:13

Thanks for all the feedback guys, Anna seems the clear favourite. Two suggestions from my 8 yr old niece today which I actually quite like, Joanna and Lara, what think you? Funny that people are saying there are a lot of Alexandra's, must be a regional thing, there's none here at all.

I really like Tessa, Maria and Anna.

There are loads of Alexandras and Alexanders, all known as Alex and Ally, where I am, and I prefer Juliet to Julia.

I like most of the names on your list, but my favourites are probably Anna and Maria, although I do like Alexandra and Julia :)

I like Tessa the most! To my mind it's way too much Julia's, Anna's and Maria's and Alexandra's around((

NadiaWadia · 08/08/2014 20:19

All lovely names, but my favourite would have to be Anna.

beadyboo · 08/08/2014 19:38

I have an Anna. Still love it, and only one in her school.
The Frozen factor may increase it's popularity, but my kids thought she was caller Honour for months because of the accent in the film!

ashesandfire · 08/08/2014 19:07

Love Anna & Alexandra
Prefer Juliet to Julia

dita79 · 08/08/2014 17:42

Not too keen on Tessa, but others are very nice. Anna is by far my favourite!

Tessa is fab

Cuppatea14 · 30/07/2014 20:36

Thanks for all the feedback, looks like Anna is a general favourite! Don't know if that makes me like it more or worry that it's on the verge of being really popular (my sister had an Ava, really original for about a nanosecond)

Tessa is my favourite but they're all nice. If I had to narrow it down, I'd cross off Julia as it strikes me as being a bit dated still and Anna and Maria as they're the more internationally popular, "plainer" choices. But then again, I like their simplicity and they're not that common amongst young children (completely unhelpful).

BlueChampagne · 30/07/2014 14:10

Anna or Julia (though I also prefer Juliet).

Sophronia · 30/07/2014 13:55

Julia or Maria.

Anna and Alexandra are nice too.

Not keen on Tessa.

wigglesrock · 30/07/2014 13:47

I like Anna the best, but I'm biased Smile . I prefer Juliet to Julia, I always think Julia's a bit dated. I know lots of female Alex, about 10 and under, it's nice but just nice iykwim. I really like Maria.

I have 3 daughters all their names end in a Smile
