What do you think of my shortlist?

I'm due at the end of December and would like some opinions on names.

For girls

Harriet
Lydia
Morven

Middle name will be Georgina.

Boys

Reuben
Logan
Harris
Nairn
Seth

Middle name will be Matthew.

Which middle names match best?

Girls:

I love Harriet and Lydia. I've never heard of Morven and don't really like sorry.

Boys:

I love Reuben and quite like Seth. I'm not at all keen on Logan or Harris. I have never heard of Nairn as a first name and don't particularly like it but don't hate it either.

tables 4 and 5 give you ALL the forenames registered in Scotland in 2013. I found it really useful :)

Thanks for all the suggestions. I love the name Ava but I don't know if it's too matchy with my DD name Amy. I don't know if I like Phoebe. I think it sounds quite strange in my accent.

Not a fan of Noah or Zachary but I've not come across Cohen before. I quite like it.

I love Harriet and Lydia but don't think they work with Georgina as a mn the flow isn't right to my ears but might just be me?!

My favourite for girls is Lydia Georgina. Purely because I know a Harriet and she has put me off the name and Morven looks and sounds old fashioned which isn't my cup of tea but might be yours!

My favourite boys name is Seth but it doesn't go with Matthew! But I really like Logan Matthew and Reuben Matthew.

They are all lovely names though!

Other suggestions if this thread has completely changed your mind..

Logan is a great number.

However Dacia (car brand) have recently brought out a Logan model, and its increasingly becoming popular.

Would put me off massively.

I'm in the West of Scotland too - I love Morven. One of my dds has Morna as her middle name (means beloved).

I'm not so keen on your boys names tbh - and yy to Harris and Logan being v. popular here (as are Calum and Lewis!).

Oh I like Andrew Yama. I'll put that on the shortlist. Love Alexander but it's my DN name.

Harriet is my favourite girls name but DO put me off it. He thinks that our DD name along with Harriet sounds like Victorian pantry maids.

Yes I'm on the west coast of Scotland. So Harris and Logan are out due to popularity.

Harriet is the only one that goes well with Georgina and is the nicest too.

Out of the boys list I really like Seth but it doesn't go with Matthew, I really don't like Nairn, the other three are OK.

Like Morven and Georgina is on my girls names list. I also have a DS called Reuben so that gets my vote :-)

Seth Matthew has too many th's! And I don't think Nairn Matthew flows so well. Apart from that, I think the 3 girls' names and the first 3 boys' ones all sound fine.
