I have two work colleagues who both have little boys under 3 called fox. I wasn't sure at first but it has grown on me!

I'm a huge X Files fan but I really don't like the name Fox, sorry.

I dunno, it's a funny one. For example, Delta and River seem fine, Estuary and Tributary not so much. Fox and Wolf seem fine, Stoat and Badger, not so much. I'd really like to call a daughter Owl, because I really like owls. I mean, really like owls. But then it's not all about me, is it?

It was a name my DH was very keen on each time I was pregnant. Thankfully we only had girls.

I do like the X Files but it isnt the connection with that which makes me love the name.

Ever since ive been pregnant this time, ive just had this love of fox things - not that ive bought much (a vest anda hat) but I seem to be Pinning lots on pinterest and the like and I just thought the Fox part of his name would be synonymous with the pregnancy.

We loved fox as a middle name. Also maverick Smile but in the end wanted to treat our child's name with appropriate seriousness .

A fox is an animal, not a child's name. It sounds like you are trying too hard to be cool and different.

I also don't like the foxy/fox (as in sexy lady) connotations either.
