This is our very short shortlist of two. Which do you prefer?

I'd I had another boy he would definitely be Seth. Nathan is pretty boring IMHO.

Appletini · 20/07/2014 21:10

Love both but Nathan wins it for me, Nate for short is lovely.

ralinax294 · 20/07/2014 21:01

Seth is okay, but I much prefer Nathan. Nathaniel is nice too.

ShovettyMcShovetty · 17/07/2014 12:47

Seth

jessiemummy28 · 17/07/2014 08:57

I know a Seth William... Love it. Also love Nathaniel but not as keen on Nathan.

CPtart · 17/07/2014 08:10

Sorry Kaymondo :))

weatherall · 17/07/2014 00:30

Nathan

Maybe nathaniel on bc?

Seth just screams religion to me.

crazylady321 · 16/07/2014 22:32

Always liked Nathan its been on my favourite list with my previous 4 children and i would of used it but my ex hated it. I cant use it this time because its too like my OHs surname

Sophronia · 16/07/2014 22:22

Also I know a lovely Nathan who is the opposite of badly-behaved Smile

Sophronia · 16/07/2014 22:18

Definitely Nathan. It's a handsome name. Seth is a bit Biblical-trendy.

Biscuitsneeded · 16/07/2014 22:14

Seth. Nathans are little **s.

Alisvolatpropiis · 16/07/2014 22:13

Seth Aneirin works well.

I don't like Nathan at all but really like Nathaniel.

Sirzy · 16/07/2014 22:09

Seth

twinjocks · 16/07/2014 22:08

Seth

summerlovingliz · 16/07/2014 21:45

Nathan!!

Zamboni · 16/07/2014 21:15

Love both names. Love Nate as a NN. Although I also have a Seth, middle name Oscar.

Namedilemma · 16/07/2014 21:15

Thanks for all responses! Interesting to see my own doubts about both names expressed by others here...
Love Nathan but also makes me think 'hard/badly behaved'
Love Seth but do worry it's a bit 'trendy biblical' - like Noah. Also I know it is a marmite name.

CPTart would hate me - I have a Noah and a Seth!

Unsurprisingly I vote Seth - love it (my Seth goes by his middle name so is actually William Seth, but think Seth William works too).

Thurlow · 16/07/2014 21:08

Seth! I love it, such a great name.

Raahh · 16/07/2014 21:04

What about Seth Nathaniel. Sounds like Seth Daniel, neatly incorporates Nathan. Grin

Tupperwife · 16/07/2014 21:02

Nathan. Initially for that bit in Handel's Zadok the Priest which always gave me goosebumps sings 'and Nathan the Prophet...'

And then I married the only Nathan I've met in real life and it's fab. Grin

EndoplasmicReticulum · 16/07/2014 21:02

I prefer Seth as taught too many Nathans who were not model students (putting it politely).

I wouldn't have been able to use it though as I have a lithp.

IsabellaRockerfeller · 16/07/2014 21:02

I don't like Nathan but I do like Nate and Nathaniel. Seth is one of those marmite names, people either love it or hate it!

Oly4 · 16/07/2014 21:01

Nathan. Hate Seth

LynetteScavo · 16/07/2014 21:00

Nathan.

Seth is the only name worse than Nigel.

(just my personal opinion, really don't mean to offend).

Nathan - cool, but not too popular. Traditional without being stuffy.
