Hi, I just found this name on a website of Sami names. Does anyone know the correct pronounciation? Thanks.

You could post a query here:

Or contact the Sami Parliament (which has cultural functions):

Like many minority languages, Sami languages can be politically sensitive. Some people might perhaps think you'd be making a political statement by using a Sami name. Fine if that's what you intend, of course, or if it has some special association for you/your family.

So far as I know (I might be wrong), it's the Sami version of Lydia.

If you don't know how to pronounce it, it's a fair bet to say that many other people won't either so you need to be ok with your child going through life with their name being mis-pronounced - or people who see it written down not knowing if it is male or female? Is it a boy or girl name?

It sounds a bit like how Dick Van Dyke would say 'lovely'

^^ this I am afraid

No idea but I would think Live-Lee. It looks nice but if it's not pn like that you will be forever correcting people.
