Names that go well with the surname Fletcher (boys and girls)

Just that really
Most names I can think of don't seem to really fit with the surname Fletcher so I thought I'd ask mumsnet! Boys and girls names please

I think the reason that names like Amelia don't sound quite right is because the 'ah' ending is too/quite similar to the 'er' at the end of your surname. In comparison Stan has a hard ending and Stanley and Audrey share an 'ee' ending. You need to find names with endings that contrast with your surname's ending.

Having said that, I don't think Amelia Fletcher is unusable if you really love it. There are many far worse names out there.

butterflyoffreedom I quite like names ending with an 'a' or 'ah' so Amelia, Eliza, Jemimah etc. So most names I like don't seem to sound wright -Amelia fletcher doesn't quite go. But I do agree, it is quite an easy surname compared to some!!
