Cass? For a boy?

Just read this on another thread, quite liking! However, wouldn't go for Cassius as don't like so much....After staring for hundreds of years so far at names lists, I feel like everything sounds weird - what are your thoughts on Cass (no long name), for a boy?

I know a Cass, he's about 5/6. Lovely little fella, v arty parents.

I would assume it was short for Cassander.

I really like Cass for a boy but as a nn.

I wanted Caspian, Cassian or Cassius but my partner hates them.

Cassidy?

I worked with a bloke called Cass once - not a nn. I quite like the name (it's from a book I think?), but he did have all the usual issues with it, like people asking for the full name, how to spell it, getting mail addressed to 'Cath'... Grin

I quite like it.
I'd personally go for Caspar though.
