Kaiser....?

Stumbled across this at work (don't ask). Someone from that MTV show Teen Mom has announced her new child will be called Kaiser.

Is it me or... no. Just - no.

Not meaning to be snobby, but Kaiser just isn't a name, is it?

I thought Kaiser Chiefs too.
Several staffy-type horrible dogs on our estate are called Kaiser. So, er, it's not something I'd choose.

Maybe her next could be Czar?

I do really like the girls' name Kajsa though which sounds similar.

It is indeed Jenelle! An article came up about her divorce and mentioned they were naming the child Kaiser.

I think it's the spelling, rather than the name...

Kaiser does not have nazi implications but it is still a very unusual choice.

I suspect she does not even know who Kaiser Wilhelm was or his role in WW1.

I just think of Kaiser Wilhelm! If you were not Indian you would look like some mad German nationalist. I would assume you had a Nazi shrine in your house.

Yes it's an Indian name - I know someone with the name spelt Qaiser but pronounced as Kaiser, he is British Indian. I like the way it sounds.

I was wondering whether she knew what it meant? Not in a nasty way but if she's American, she probably didn't spend a term of secondary school doing WW1 and learning about Kaiser Willhelm!

It just makes me think about 'Joseph Stalin' in Friends... Grin

I know someone with that name though pronounced Kayzer. It's an Indian name I believe.
