This is hypothetical as still at the ttc stage but anyway...
As someone with an unusual name I hate the idea of giving future children a popular name as to me it would make the name less special if lots of people have the same name.
I know this is probably just me as my sister whose name has been top 10 for about 25 years and knows about 10 other people with her name has said it doesn't bother her at all but I think hardly ever meeting anyone with my name is made it feel quite special to me so can't imagine it the other way!
Anyway, in my imaginary baby name list my 2 top names are Luna (which seems to be having a revival if this board is anything to go by) and Ella.
Luna seems to divide opinion with some people really hating it but I like the fact it is more unusual (but maybe it is on the up anyway!).
Ella I just love but that little niggly feeling about it's top 10/20 still gets to me (although thinking about it I don't know of anyone who has named their baby Ella?)
What do you think about the choice between those 2 names in particular or about popular v marmite in general.
