Bit of a mash up between mine and DHs preferences, surname Cavendish. Middle name likely to be Juliet (not fussed about whether it goes with the FN as I barely use DDs FN amd MN together). DD is Meg (just Meg) if that helps with the critiquing:

Erin
Kate
Olive
Liv
Ivy
Matilda
Evelyn (could I use this without the inevetable Evie nn?)
Petra
Lilian
Nora
Orla
Robyn
Iris
Ruby

Sorry......its not that short yet!

I LOVE Seth and like Alex. Really not keen on the others, apart from maybe Louis.

Thurlow · 11/06/2014 21:18

Travis - Taxi Driver. Just Taxi Driver. I can't remotely see it as a nice name!
Alex - awesome, awesome name (biased, is DD's name) plus you have the added entertainment of dressing the baby in white and watching the confusion on people's faces as they realise asking the name hasn't helped them work out the gender...
Louis - ok but very popular
Harry - popular again
Otis - I'm with your DH. Lifts.
Elliot - really nice. Not wow, but really nice.
Seth - love it! Could never use it myself as I have an 'issue' lisp saying S's, but it is a great name
Leo - popular again. Nothing wrong with popular, just I've met so many of them recently I find it hard to get excited about the name.

So Alex or Seth, definitely. Or Isaac, as someone mentioned that on another thread and I'd forgotten it's such a nice name.

All short and can't really be messed about with except Evelyn. Sorry if these are rude or upset anyone aha.

Erin- Seems a little common(chavvy) Sorry!! But goes well with Meg.
Kate- Too posh/oldy/boring
Olive -My favourite. My best friends DD's name, its beautiful.
Liv- Not a fan myself but lots of people like it.
Ivy- Its pretty, elegant. Prefer something like Isla.
Matilda- Love love love love!
Evelyn- I like it, especially Evie. What about Ava?
Petra- No. Its a country or city isn't it?!
Lilian- I like it, especially Lily or Lilia.
Nora- Reminds me of some of my grannys friend.
Orla- Its okay.
Robyn- Its okay.
Iris- I like this, like Ivy.
Ruby- love love love love love love! Second favourite of your list. Goes well with Meg as well, nice and 'normal' and can't be shortened.

Alex, Louis, Harry and Leo are amazing! Leo seems to be quite popular here. The others are classics that you can't go wrong with Grin

Not keen on the others you mentioned tho but again... Your baby, your choice!

That would have been far too creepy if you were an s!

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 11/06/2014 20:48

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 11/06/2014 15:28

It's a boy?! All this work for nothing Wink.

Leo's quite nice. Do not ask me for name ideas; I like outrageously pretentious boys' names like Cosmo and Lysander. Grin

Iris. Best of all of options.

Carsandtrucks · 07/06/2014 20:45

Love Kate. Love Erin

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 07/06/2014 20:33

Probably! Then ill need to go through this name game again. Yep, ill update after Wednesday.

Our favourite name for a boy is probably Leo, but its a "mutually agreeable" name rather than an "I love" name.

OP posts:
Raskova · 07/06/2014 20:31

Ha! It'll be a boy then! I was certain DD was a boy. Even still didn't believe when four different scans had said.

Will you let us know what 'it' will be?????

weatherall · 07/06/2014 19:29

I think meg goes well with Erin, ivy and iris.

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 07/06/2014 19:27

Should add I am compiling this list based on feeling that this pg is a girl. I have my 20wk scan on Wednesday and will fall over in shock if its a boy!!

I like your choices. You have dd's first and middle names on there.
