No one is telling you that you said every child called Jayden will go into care. You have been told that bring care proceedings onto the thread is inappropriate and irrelevant.

It is utterly meaningless to state that you have several names that you associate with care proceedings when there are thousands and thousands of children in care with perfectly acceptable MN names.
Its offensive and you shouldn't have done it.

If you don't like a name say you don't like it. There is no need to warn people about a name unless they have never heard of WWII and they are about to call their child Adolph.

So I took the time to re-read the thread again, particularly my posts and I remain baffled at the accusations made against me.

I would genuinely be grateful if someone could point out where I have said
a)we should all aspire to be middle class
b)prejudice and snobbery are great
c)everyone called Jayden is going into care
d)I think poor people are shit and don't care about their children

because all these accusations appear to have been levelled against me for no reason whatsoever that I can see from what I have written.

I like the name Tracey for a boy.

The high court judge I knew liked me to call him 'a very naughty boy'.

OP, unfortunately most people on here are right. Jayden is a name with connotations. Because that's the way society/culture works, it seems: for every generation there are a few names (always new, non-classic, virtually unknown then seemingly everywhere) which become associated with being 'common' , 'chavvy' or whatever the current nasty sneering word denoting the supposed Undesirables is.

Tracy, Sharon, Wayne - all past examples.

Jayden will undoubtedly fall out of fashion in a few years in the same way these names did, and so like them the association will also be with a particular age bracket.

So yes if I were your baby, I'd probably prefer to have a different name.

Because it is a well known fact that all Connors and Liams are naughty.

I very rarely comment on baby names, unless I want to tell the OP how lovely I think a name is. These threads seem to me to be mostly an exercise for closet racists and snobs to air their prejudice under the guise of helping a mother to be in choosing a name.

Why would teachers hate Liams and Conors? They, to me, are classic examples of those very 'in the middle' type of names that are used by everyone of all classes and backgrounds. Aren't they?

There are very few women high court judges, (although I noted a Sonia and a Beverley - yay -) and very few non-English names. Does that mean we should give our daughters the name George or Peregrine in order that they pass the daft test?

Lewis is Welsh. Commonly used as a first name. That's probably why I've only met Louis prn Lou-ee, we've got Lewis for the alternative

Yes, people have preconceptions about names. 99% of people manage to get over that within moments of meeting people. I'm sorry that the remaining 1% can't get over it. If you really can't imagine a Lord Chief Justice Jayden then you must struggle massively with President Barack, Prime Ministers Margaret, Gordon and Tony etc.
And another thing, being a high court judge is, funnily enough, not the pinnacle of many parents ambitions for their children.
