Finding it really hard to pick a boys name, I've got a little boy called Louie and thinking of Jayden for this one could be shortend to J or middle name will be Joseph as that's my dads name so Jayden Joseph could also be JJ. Honest opinions please :)

I admire your energy.

I can't even work up the enthusiam to wash the kitchen floor ATM Smile

I thought Spero had a point (how others might perceive the name) until she brought up her own personal experience of care proceedings and the names she encounters.

Seriously Hmm

I'm staunchly middle class and not happy to be associated with some of the views expressed on this thread.

TantrumsAndBalloons · 02/06/2014 16:17

isnt everybody worried that there are loads of WC children that have MC names so no one can tell they are poor?

Isn't that just horrifying?

WC parents should know their places.

Not quite sure which stupid snobby fuckers you are refering to but my own experience of snobby fuckers is that telling them to stop being snobby fuckers is singularly ineffective.

Meanwhile this proud plebian with a professional job is sticking to her theory about the advantages of neutral names.

^us DO see...

FidelineandFumblin · 02/06/2014 16:08

Some of us don't want to be perceived as MC, hard for some of you to understand I know. But get over it.

Some of us to see it as an advantage to have names that are as classLESS as possible so as to fit in anywhere.

How has this thread got to 16 pages?!?! Sheesh! Lighten up people. It's a marmite name. I hate it, but I know a number of people in very prestigious jobs with totally weird names of the non-MC variety.

God, why am I posting? Agh!

Spero · 02/06/2014 15:13

Right! I hear the siren cry of the toilet.

To those I have upset with any clumsy or ill judged phrases - I am truly sorry.

to those of you who want to attribute malicious or unpleasant 'imputations' behind what I actually said, go fuck yourselves sideways.

I do hope you are not trying to infer/imply/impute or otherwise suggest anything with those words...

FidelineandFumblin · 02/06/2014 15:10

Yes the discussion is quite pacey on the EDL chat forum isn't it?

Bizarrely I have had a lot of practice at typing quick responses on internet threads. Us snobbish racists don't get a lot else to do with our time as obviously no one decent will ever socialise with us.

Check back in a week, I will probably still be here...

Spero · 02/06/2014 15:07

I know, I know. I wish more than anyone my three day trial hadn't disappeared. I am now wandering around at home, bored and incapable of hiding my computer.

I know that nothing I will say will make a difference as some people have decided to be judge, jury and executioner based on what they have decided I 'meant' to say - because after all, the actual words I used strangely don't support their theories.

So I will try and take your excellent advice. Maybe clean behind the toilet. Probably a more rewarding exercise than this steaming pile of self righteous tosh.

FidelineandFumblin · 02/06/2014 15:06

I'm getting jealous of your typing speed Spero (or is it your reaction time?) Grin

DollyWosits · 02/06/2014 15:04

Spero I would just hide the thread. Sometimes posters are just out for a fight. Maybe it wasn't a great idea to mention SS but you apologised way down the thread if it had offended anyone. I'd leave it at that if I were you and I wouldn't give this thread anymore thought.

It's a bit daft everyone getting so het up about a name thread.

ProtegeMoi · 02/06/2014 15:04

I love the name Jayden and planned to call it DD had she been a boy. It's not popular on mumsnet as it's seen as too 'lower class' and 'ethnic' not that that should be an issue.

If you like it then ignore those that would judge a child's background just by a name!

Spero · 02/06/2014 15:02

Great minds eh

FidelineandFumblin · 02/06/2014 15:00

That's got to be my favourite X post ever Grin

FidelineandFumblin · 02/06/2014 14:58

and inferring that anyone who names their child Jayden is, ipso facto, going to require SS and a family law barrister.

Oh yes because that's what she did. Totally. Uh-huh.
