What does everyone think to Owen?

We are currently loitering around the idea of naming our son this, however I am not 100% convinced.

Middle name would be James.

What does everyone think of when they hear the name Owen?
Is it deemed common or chavvy?
Any others that we might like along the same lines?

We've really struggled picking anything and this is the only name we've come back to.

Thanks :)

I really don't like it, every Owen I've known has been a bit...dare I say it...Chavvy.

Love it got one , Ds 15 it was the only name we agreed on and there was only one more at his primary and the same at his grammar .

It's fine.

Neither chavvy or common.

Alternatively Austin, Rowan, Ronan, Roman.

I think it's a fine name. I've known several Owens and they've all been intelligent, thoughtful people.

The only thing is it doesn't travel well - in lots of countries he'd be known as 'Oven'. But then lots of nice names don't travel well.

And 'Owen James' is a nice combination.

I love it.
