Maybe I just haven't found The One

Baby girl no.2 is on her way shortly.

She might be a Julia, a Francesca, a Valentina or an Eliza, or she might be something else altogether. I've been thinking about it for 8 months and have discounted more names than in the Harvey Nicks Christmas sale - including Emmeline, April, Florence, Juliet, Adelaide - and honestly still not sure I'm any closer to finding The One. DH lost interest roughly 7.5 months ago, so hoping you can help me choose. Oh, she will be a sister to Louis and Rosa.

I really like Julia with the other DCs names Smile

I'm terrible with girls names so that's all the help I can give for now! Good luck and I hope you find a nice name for your dd soon Smile

Thank you BungalowBill! Smiling here so I think that's the answer I was hoping for...Smile

Francesca is by far my favourite from the ones you are considering. I quite like Julia and Eliza but not keen on Valentina at all.

You've probably discounted all these by how about:
Alexandra, Alice, Aurelia, Astrid, Beatrice, Bryony, Bella, Calista, Cassandra, Cassidy, Clarissa, Cordelia, Caitlin, Ciara, Constance Diana, Dana, Elizabeth, Esther, Erica, Eloise, Elodie, Freya, Fabia, Fenella, , Frances, Gloria, Gabriella, Halle, Helena, Iris, India, Jocelyn, Joelle, Katrin, Karina, Lillian, Lydia, Lyra, Lois, Melissa, Marianna, Noelle, Nadia, Naomi, Ruth, Rhianne, Sabrina, Saskia, Sadie, Stella, Tabitha, Tara, Tamsin, Verity, Valerie, Willa, Yasmin.

Rosa is a beautiful name also, I've always liked Rose nn Rosie for a girl but Rosa is lovely.
Definitely going to have to steal that in future! Smile

I like Julia and love Valentina, they go really well with Rosa. I really dislike Francesca!

Wow - great list Manic. There's quite a few on there I love but couldn't even consider as friends have used them - Alexandra, Astrid, Alice particularly.

Lois is lovely but too similar to Louis and DH doesn't like Lydia, along with about 3,000 other names I suggested at some point.

Freya was on the original longlist but fell off due to popularity at home. One thing that's making this all much more tricky is that we don't know whether we'll be at home, in Australia or in the USA by August...but if it's the US, Freya might make it back on.

Bungalow - my Rosa adores her name. I call her Rosie but to everyone else she's always just been Rosa.

Thanks Alita - so maybe Julia Valentina then? I'd love to use Julia somewhere as it is a family name

Julia would be my pick from your choices.

How about Audra?

WolfMoon · 19/05/2014 16:58

I love Valentina, if I ever have a DD3 she may very well be Valentina. What about Chiara? Or if you like Alexandra, what about Alessandra, or Alessa?

Viatrix · 19/05/2014 17:00

I also like Julia the best with the siblings' names.

adaloveslace · 19/05/2014 21:51

Wolf, we are Irish so Chiara - which I love - would just become Ciara. Alessa is beautiful though. Hmmm.

Audra is pretty and unique but I'm not mad on the 'aud' sound.

I do really, really love Valentina but worry it might be hard to wear on a day-to-day basis for a non-Italian/Latin girl.

God I'm fussy. Another vote for Julia is good though!
