I still don't love any boys names

I'm getting worried we won't find the one and will have to put up with an ok name :(

I like Theodore (NN Teddy or Theo)
Zachary
Henry
I also like Rowan but can't make my mind up on it

DP likes Maximus, Rupert and Airen but I'm really not fussed on them.

We have a Jacob and there are lots of nice names we can't use as close friends and family have used.

What if he pops out and none of those names feel right and nothing else fits? Also like names like Joshua, Thomas etc but they're a bit blah aren't they, nothing special about them.

Maybe it's just me but when I hear Bruno lee I want to put "tonio" in the middle. Proof that I'm missing strictly come dancing too much!!!!

I have two sons, Asher and Casper. I didn't love either of their names when they were born, but I adore them now. The child you love will become their name.

Bizarrely dd's name, the one I did adore, is probably the only one I would not use now. I love it still, but she's ten, and her name has gone from unusual to top ten in that decade.

I felt exactly the same as you, and had some of the same names in our list, notably Theodore. We went with Samuel in the end, and it's really growing on me.

Oh, I like Theodore best, would not have thought of shortening to Teddy to be honest, Theo seems more obvious.
Don't like Rowan, but that is because I know a girl of that name and I have not heard of it as a boy's name. Rupert sounds like the bear or Jilly Cooper.

If you can't find a name you love in itself, what about one which means something special instead?

Theodore is great, Bruno too.

I prefer Bruno and I think it flows well. If you have a lee type surname then you just can't escape the suffix-ish ending to any name, but don;'t bother about it, go for the first name you love best as that will be the one you yell across the playground/hear over and over. Bruno or Theodore (could be a Theo if he fancied it when/if he grew out of Teddy) go really well with Jacob too.

I have a Maximus, which my partner choose.
When he was born, I thought he should of been a Jack. But Maximus had stuck by then.
Wait till your baby is born to decide!
I like Zachary as well.

I suppose your surname is little tricky as it can make the two names sound like an adverb, johnly, jamesly etc.

But I think Bruno L-e-e works, goes well with Jacob too.

I've got an 8 week old called Arron (rhymes with barren)

My husband wanted to spelt it Aaron but I said no because he'd constantly get called Air-run which I hate Grin

When he first suggested it I wasn't keen but it definitely grew on me and now the name suits him perfectlySmile

Oh I love Bruno! Not sure if it'd go with our surname though, it rhymes with wee and starts with an L. Does it flow well?

I couldn't call him Teddy tbh. I don't like nicknames as names so if DP wants to call him Teddy it would have to be Theodore on his BC cos I don't like Edward.

Do you really like Rupert? I do sometimes but other times feel it's a bit...I don't know.

A lot of the other names suggested have been used by those close to us. Would it be weird to copy? I'm just panicking a bit because with DS his name just came to us both and felt perfect. Everything with this one feels Meh.
