Due in 6 weeks with our baby boy. We keep arguing about names and I love Iden. DP like it but is unsure as says it is so unusual. Means prosperous.

Middle name would need to be John

Have not heard of Iden, except as a place name or a surname. Some early English settlers in America had the surname Iden.

There is Edern ( eh-dern) a Breton version of Anglo-Saxon name Edward, which means 'rich guard' or 'guardian of riches'.

There is Edan (ay-dan) a version of Irish name Aidan, which means 'fire'.

There is Idunn (ee-dunn) the Norse goddess of youth and fruitfulness.

There is Ide (ee-dah) an Irish girl's name meaning 'love for goodness/ knowledge'.

I may be wrong, but I can find no reliable source for Iden = prosperous (many babyname websites can't really be trusted). It may be a modern version of 'Edern', perhaps??

But if you like the name, then use it!

Iden john doesn't really 'go'.

Tbh I'd think it was a typo for Eden, which is popular now for girls.
