Can I have just Liv? DD is just Meg, so im not averse to having a shorter name on the BC but I love Olive and DH loves Liv.

Liv is an excellent choice, we love it but we're also stumped on middle names. Do you really need one though?

I think Liv is a great choice to go with Meg.

I have a Liv. Liv Sofia. I get lots of compliments on her name but I find people tend to assume it's a nickname for Olivia. It's a beautiful name, simple and fresh I think.

I really dislike both Olive and Olivia but I love Liv, it's gorgeous as a stand alone name. I don't think having a 'shortened' name is an issue. I always introduce myself as Jo and nobody ever asks me what it is short for

Liv is pronounced as in "I live in a house". I'm amazed that people don't get that.

If you have a boy instead, you could call him Lev! Still living the dream of a one syllable name starting with L and ending in V Wink

I have a Liv, well she's an Olivia but we all have our crosses to bear Wink. Her middle name is Sadie.

How would you pronounce it though. I would assume if just Liv it was 'Leev' and say it that way though don't know if most people would.
If it was Olivia called Liv I'd pronounce it 'Live' as in he Lives!

My favourite is Lawrence but DH is not a fan. He says its too far away to discuss names but is happy to say No to something he isnt sure of.
