I have just seen someone wanting to call the child sandy and I love it but my surname is castle .. Is having a child called sandy castle weird?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

upsala · 19/04/2014 12:44

Roy is nice.

RalphGnu · 19/04/2014 12:29

Please don't call your child Sandy Castle.

scottishmummy · 19/04/2014 12:23

unique in regard to names usually= risible combination.it smacks of trying too hard
If you think it's so unique, introduce yourself as sandy castle socially, see the reaction
Meet folks and say oh call me sandy, everyone does, watch that repressed snigger at the uniqueness of it

GallstoneCowboy · 19/04/2014 12:21

Can't believe you'd post this bizarre question (of course naming a child Sandy Castle is weird, in fact it is cruel) and then have no sense of humour about the 'Windsor' suggestion.

justmuddlingalong · 19/04/2014 12:17

And Op, I don't appreciate the abusive private messages you've just sent me. It's not your post it's the post you started. My opinion is as valid as anyone else's. If you've got something to say, say it publicly, I can take it. unlike some, obviously. Happy Easter Easter Smile

OP don't take it personally.
I came up with some fairly barmy name ideas when I was pg. I swear that one day you will remember Sandy Castle and laugh at your temporary madness. Grin

ChasedByBees · 19/04/2014 12:03

Ha ha! No.

CatsAreLikeChocolates · 19/04/2014 12:02

Can't believe you are getting huffy about people sniggering already. Please don't set yourself (and the new baby) up for a whole lifetime of this sort of thing.

clary · 19/04/2014 11:59

This is a joke yes?

Lots of regular names are fine with the surname Castle OP. I teach a James Castle. Fine and dandy.

pictish · 19/04/2014 11:56

Is it bad that this thread is cracking me up? Grin

TravellingToad · 19/04/2014 11:50

Oh come on, you're the one talking about calling a child sandy castle :) lighten up!

missmargot · 19/04/2014 11:50

It would be unique but not in a good way, I'm sorry.

TheNewSofa · 19/04/2014 11:47

The child will have the piss taken out of them all through their school years

somedizzywhore1804 · 19/04/2014 11:44

No way- that's a bad combination.

Bowlersarm · 19/04/2014 11:43

There is nothing nice to say about it though.

Ekatea · 19/04/2014 11:43

No not too be sarcastic though is there! You all need to grow up.

OP posts:
TravellingToad · 19/04/2014 11:42

You can't tell people what they can and can't reply to your question!

Ekatea · 19/04/2014 11:40

No need too be sarcastic! If you have nothing nice too say keep it to yourself
