no way

Alisvolatpropiis · 20/04/2014 10:46

Well, that escalated quickly Grin

Oh op, don't be so touchy. Sandy Castle is clearly not going to work!

Mrsfullhouse · 20/04/2014 10:26

Hello OP, I'm the other 'Sandy' poster... it is a totally gorgeous name for a boy, but even I'm having doubts due to its beach hutness with our surname and the formal name we were thinking of, Lysander, when we ran it past my 7 year old dd, she burst out laughing and said 'Lasagne House?? You are a bloody fool mummy'(yes, her language was addressed, but it was bloody funny)
So having ummed and aaaghed until we're blue in the face, we're chalking it down as a 'sounds a bit funny'
I think Sandy Castle may attract a few raised eyebrows, but Alexander Castle and then Sandy when used informally at home etc (where you won't say it with his surname) is lovely.
Good luck in whatever you chose for your darling baby, I'm struggling so much with a name and the hormones and impulsiveness aren't helping!!

I think Warwick would flow nicely with the surname. Alternatively, I think Balmoral has a lovely ring to it. Go anywhere with a name like that.

TravellingToad · 20/04/2014 00:37

First name: Elephant
Middle name: And

Aventurine · 20/04/2014 00:32

Kingofthe?

Charlottelouise03 · 20/04/2014 00:26

Even if this was a joke I still find a lot of people on here can be very judgemental and hurtful with some comments! Maybe take other people feelings into consideration (some of you)

ballseditup · 19/04/2014 21:08

What about Leeds.a modern day 'Lisa'

alita7 · 19/04/2014 20:55

I hope this is a troll. If not then please find another name :p

squoosh · 19/04/2014 20:07

Ignore them all OP. I think Sandy Castle is a lovely name, he'll go far in life with such a distinguished moniker.

justmuddlingalong · 19/04/2014 19:09

I appreciated your parapet comment, as I'm sure most other posters did.

Degustibusnonestdisputandem · 19/04/2014 18:58

I have both a job and a sense of humour, even though nobody noticed my parapet comment Grin

Germgirl · 19/04/2014 18:51

Bowlers. I did a proper out-loud snort at that Smile and now the whole lab knows I'm reading MN rather than decanting wee into little tubes.
Op, if you're really really into the name could you call your child Alexander & just have Sandy as a family nickname.
I mean, I wouldn't saddle the poor little chap with that ridiculous name but if you really wanted to you could do that.

justmuddlingalong · 19/04/2014 18:15

I have job, Op. But more importantly I also have a sense of humour and no petted lip.

fidelineish · 19/04/2014 17:47

Or even Easter Saturday Grin

fidelineish · 19/04/2014 17:32

OP posts freakish name sugestion, OP gets snippy when people suggest name is not good. Moral of the story; we should all go to work on Good Friday. Errr okay.

What a weirdo.

TrustMeImLying · 19/04/2014 17:29

I meant Christ, not Chris...

TrustMeImLying · 19/04/2014 17:29

Chris you end up with some weird posters on here.

Start a "joke" thread, get offended with answers and then tell people that they are petty and to get a job.... Yawn.

Ekatea · 19/04/2014 17:24

This is a joke but shows how petty you all are. Maybe instead of sitting on here slagging people off get a job?

Sandy Castle would definitley be weird.

Unique for all the wrong reasons.

RalphGnu · 19/04/2014 15:22

mrsbucketxx · 19/04/2014 15:19

sonlypuppyfat · 19/04/2014 15:12

How on earth can someone take the hump when they are the one with the crazy idea!

Degustibusnonestdisputandem · 19/04/2014 15:12

Erm, yes it does sound weird, sorry!

Driveway · 19/04/2014 15:05

Castle isn't a hard surname in the slightest!
