Imogen, Beatrice or Juliet?

Pinkandwhite100 · 16/04/2014 16:23

Please can you tell me which of these names you like most; Imogen, Beatrice or Juliet? Also, given that I like these names, can you think of any others I might like please?

I also like the names Felicity, Florence and Clementine but can't use these because I have nieces with those names.

Eveline is another favourite of mine but it seems to be very popular now... Should this put me off?

Thanks

Imogen is v popular round here!

I like Juliet best from your list Smile

Notname · 17/04/2014 20:43

All three of those were on our short list of four. Along with Martha which we chose, love and get lots of positive reaction to (tho I goes the less positive isn't said to our faces!).

Juliet - I know loads of Imogen's and Beatrice's

NearTheWindymill · 17/04/2014 20:35

Juliet's lovely. Never heard it shortened to Julie. There is always the occasional Juliet about. DD (who is nearly 16 had three Imogens in her class at primary school).

Helena, Verity, Christabel, Ophelia, Ottilie, Xanthe.

Alisvolatpropiis · 17/04/2014 20:32

Juliet.

It's lovely and woefully underused.

BlueStarsAtNight · 17/04/2014 20:27

Beatrice, then Juliet, then Imogen

Confitdecanard · 17/04/2014 18:21

We had these three on our list - when I saw the thread title I thought maybe it was a resurrected one that I had started before DC2! I like them all but Juliet is probably the most unusual at the moment. We also liked Harriet, Bridget and Leonie.

alita7 · 17/04/2014 18:16

I love Beatrice and juliet :)

thatstoast · 17/04/2014 17:24

I've picked out Juliet as a name for a future daughter. Also like Cordelia and Miranda but had to rule out Cordelia as it doesn't fit with the name we gave ds1.

weatherall · 17/04/2014 17:20

Juliet- you never hear that anymore.

Onyabike · 17/04/2014 13:57

I vote Juliet - it's such a beautiful name!

BlueChampagne · 17/04/2014 13:34

Love Juliet, and the one I know never abbreviates, or allows anyone else to. Second Louisa. How about Helena?

InfiniteJest · 17/04/2014 11:17

Love Juliet, and Eveline is very pretty. How about Violet or Emmeline?

Northernlurker · 17/04/2014 10:55

Most unusually all my dds names are on this thread Grin We have a Shakespearean theme..........

buffythebarbieslayer · 17/04/2014 10:52

I have a Juliet, have never regretted it.

Expecting dd2 and have struggled to find a name that lives up to it to be honest!

littlepeas · 17/04/2014 09:43

All three names are lovely - you can't go wrong.

beela · 17/04/2014 08:48

I like Beatrice the best from your list.

How about Esme?

drLu · 17/04/2014 06:50

Imogen and Beatrice for me but I'm biased!

Mrsindecision · 17/04/2014 06:45

I definitely don't agree that Juliet will be shortened to Julie - it's a completely different name with such a different "vibe". Juliet is such a beautiful and timeless classic IMO.

AlpacaYourThings · 17/04/2014 02:55

I really don't like Juliet, sorry.

Imogen and Beatrice are lovely, IMO.

Fanjango · 17/04/2014 02:31

Juliet is nice but people will shorten it to Julie. I love Imogen though Smile

Wishfulmakeupping · 17/04/2014 02:19

Juliet is lovely

traininthedistance · 17/04/2014 01:29

Also like Juliet. If you want more suggestions, you could continue with the Shakespearean theme - Helena, Rosalind, Celia, Viola, Marina, Portia, Isabella, Mariana, Hermia, Cordelia, Ophelia!

Tranquilitybaby · 16/04/2014 19:16

Imogen x

Pinkandwhite100 · 16/04/2014 18:09

Juliet is winning by a mile! That's not what I expected, I don't know why. I LOVE the name. I just have to convince DH now!
