One of the names me and my husband love for our baby if it is a girl is Persephone. However we are struggling with the middle names.

We need two or three middle names. These can be English names or Classical Greek.

I am open to suggestions.

Aren't you the one who was posting about how all the school mums were jealous of you and you had started dating an actor and couldn't tell anyone because you were already fantastically rich due to marrying a footballer? Apols if not

It's still a stonkingly ridiculous set of names to give a child. And I live in Kensington too, so I look forward to seeing little kitto (as I shall nickname her) around the area.

angeltulips (i recall you posting that you are a wag so maybe you want to self identify as a footballers wife by naming your daughter something so overblown). When did I ever say that I was a wag? I am certainly not a wag. Will you stop posting your ridiculous drivel.

It is not pronounced PERCYPHONE so only uneducated people would make that mistake.

I do not want to enter in a debate on whether people agree with how many middle names our child will have etc.

Ps I pointed out I know 2 persephones and they both are known as penny. So it might happen to your Persephone too

My point, puddles, is that you are saddling your child w a massively embarrassing name that sounds more like a classical history list than a person. In the manner of Paula Yates and other z list slebs (i recall you posting that you are a wag so maybe you want to self identify as a footballers wife by naming your daughter something so overblown).

But your child, your choice.

Avoid a string of middle names which are all long and / or ending in the same letter/ sound at least.... I guess Persephone Marina Iris is OK ... when you have so many names it is hard to avoid them just sounding like a random list, rather than somebody's name...

I guess though only the first name matters, just make sure the initials don't spell anything .... Usually if you have one outlandish name its pleasant for the child to have a fairly ordinary middle name incase they really, really hate the very unusual one...

I agree with Oscar - However, if you are definitely having Marina then I would maybe strike off Helena and Alexandrina as they are a bit "sing song" when combined I think...but then i guess that depends on how you were pronouncing Helena. I pronounce it Hell ee na rather than Helen a.

Persephone Marina Joy
Persephone Marina Juliet
Persephone Marina Alicia

Ignore the grumpies. Persephone is a dream of a name. The middle name doesn't matter much so choose whatever feels right to you and DP Smile.

I want peoples honest opinions and suggestions on middle names that compliment Persephone, I do not want to make this thread about where one resides etc.

knickernicker I am not Alex Polizzi.

Marina is a definite middle name. We need one or two more.

Front runners are,

Iris
Elizabeth
Helena
Artemis
Alexandrina

Any more suggestions would be most appreciated.

We are trying to avoid using 'family' names as once you use one name then others become insistent that their name is included.

Family's names we would consider alongside Marina are,

Frances
Beatrice

I think that is a bit awkward and will constantly be read as Alexandra.

still love Persephone though. I think I would go with Persephone Marina double-barelled surname. That's quite a lot of syllables already.

Nicknames most commonly used for Persephone is Perse or Sephy - I think you meant are.

Also there has to be two or three middle names - it shoud be have.

It was expected that the 4th in line would have two or three names but they made do with the relatively down to earth George Alexander Louis.

Persephone Marina Eliza Rose/ Frances would be slightly shorter

Iv no idea what a Kensington thing is and we live there also.
