I know twins called Mary and Joseph too! They are about 30 now though. We gave them a terrible time over it!

insanityscatching · 13/04/2014 09:41

There were twins in dd's nursery called Mary and Joseph Grin birthdays were about Easter though.

Mrswellyboot · 13/04/2014 09:34

I don't think it's twins so it will be either DS and (girl) or DS and (boy)

I can't out myself with his name but he is named after his dad.

crispyporkbelly · 13/04/2014 09:23

I like Nolan and Ella :)

Mrswellyboot · 13/04/2014 09:17

I don't like Ellen at all but I love the rest.

I really wouldn't be able to pick between Brendan and Joseph - love them both. Mary is fab.

Dermot is nice, but I prefer the other two boys' names.

somedizzywhore1804 · 12/04/2014 20:46

I once knew a Brendan who wasn't Irish and had no Irish connection. He said it was "as culturally bizarre as naming a white, ginger kid Mohammed" and hated it, so I'd be wary if you're not Irish/in Ireland/ in a Catholic-centric community. Plus it's just not a nice name IMO.

Joseph is very nice though.

All those girls names are horrible.

HeyBungalowBill · 12/04/2014 20:34

Ellen and Joseph Smile

Lucked · 12/04/2014 20:34

Ellen and Joseph.

Have you considered Ellle?

chesterberry · 12/04/2014 20:31

I like Joseph. Not keen on any of the others.

AuntieStella · 12/04/2014 20:27

I like all of them!

Agree that Joseph and Mary are not great for a sibling set, so would plump for Ellen and Joseph.

Alisvolatpropiis · 12/04/2014 20:20

Joseph.

Though as Nadia said, Joseph can never the brother of Mary.

NadiaWadia · 12/04/2014 19:51

Mary and Joseph. You couldn't really have siblings called this, though, for obvious reasons!

ChickenMe · 12/04/2014 19:06

Sorry I only like Joseph. Ellen is too heavy. So is Mary. They sound like washer women.

Littleturkish · 12/04/2014 18:59

Would you consider Maria?

Littleturkish · 12/04/2014 18:59

Dermot or Diamurd is lovely.

Wishfulmakeupping · 12/04/2014 18:59

Mary is ok others not to my taste

Mrswellyboot · 12/04/2014 18:56

We have had a chat. Considering Dermot

Megrim · 12/04/2014 17:43

If you like Ellen, have you also considered Eleanor or Eilidh?

I like Joseph, DS1 has it as his middle name. You don't see it very often.

HolidayCriminal · 12/04/2014 17:11

Mary is my fave. All fine by me, Brendan would be better spelled Brandon I suspect.

Mrswellyboot · 12/04/2014 17:02

It's so hard to pick

Thank You all.

Dh is very traditional and likes family names. I may go back to th drawing board.

Mary and Joseph are both lovely names (maybe not for siblings through!)

I think Ellen is a bit meh and I don't like Brendan at all, sorry

pilates · 12/04/2014 16:36

Joseph is nice but not keen on the girls names.
