Help me with a boys name as yet again we're at loggerheads with number 2 DC!
I like short snappy boys names that can't be shortened by others too much. Cant have anything beginning with 'W' or 'D'. Already have a Joe in the family.

So far
Seth (my fave!)
Luke
Zach (already know a few - is it overused?)
Joshua

DH likes
Samson (Sam)
Samuel (Sam)

Actually I love Seth - how can I persuade him?!!

Any ideas?!

Seth goes really well with Theo.

My friend has twins called Theo and Rueben which I think sound good together too.

Good luck :)

Well let me contemplate Rufus Sewell all damp and sweaty from farm work as he ruffles his hair and stands in the halflight mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm OK let me just think about that a bit more............

Megrim · 08/04/2014 18:49

Seth makes me think of the character in Cold Comfort Farm - all brooding and over sexed.

grizzabellia · 08/04/2014 08:05

Saul (or Sol - Sun)

I don't like Seth, definitely agree with your DH that it sounds wimpy and annoying - it doesn't sound strong enough to me. My dad wanted to call my bro Seth in the early 70s but luckily my mum wasn't persuaded.

I lived in the west of the US and DH is American. I wouldn't call Seth a Wild West name. Those would be Wesley, Zacariah, Abe, Ty and Sam. Seth's also not popular in the US - I have never met one of any age.

Seth sounds like he would get beaten up a lot and doesn't know how to talk to girls.
