Which names do you love that get a bad reception on Mumsnet? And did/would you use them?

Personally I love Kyle. The three I know are lovely and I think it has a nie sound. I probably wouldn't use it myself, but only because there are other names I love more.

slippy. I have both of those names in my dd's names. Esme as a first name and Agnes as a middle name.

Mothership, then given that meaning it could suit a baby of mine. I'm small but grow disproportionately enormous babies. Grin

Guggle I have a dog called Enzo, it's a great name for a dog, especially a small one as apparently it means giant. Wink

I love Posy. So cute. If I was an eccentric posh person with a surname to match id use it. Posh people can get away with bonkers names.

diddl - yes an oubliette is indeed a type of cell. During my PhD I had a tiny and very pokey basement office (room number 0292). My nickname derives from this period of my life (I'm may be outing myself by admitting this).

diddl · 04/04/2014 07:21

I like Ludo as well.

An oubliette is a type of cell isn't it that prisoners were thrown into & forgotten about-hence oubliette.

KillashandraRee · 04/04/2014 06:45

I called my dog Piper as I'd never get it past DH for a girl.

Maude, Olive (yy to on the buses comments...WHY!!)

Hector and Walter I love but couldn't get past Wally comments from DDad.

Ludi is great, and am definitely hankering after a Heathcliffe now....

I'm destined to call my soon to be born DC another name mumsnet hates Blush

aGirlDownUnder1 · 04/04/2014 04:33

Piper is a lovely name :)

Also love:
Paige
Savannah

All of those name are considers 'chavvy' on mn. DD has a quite 'cutsey' name, which is quite disliked on mn

JustALittleConfused · 04/04/2014 00:31

I really like the name Ludo, thought of Ludo Bagman from Harry potter rather than the game.. It is fabulous though!
