Italian boys names

Hi I'm expecting my fourth dc my family are Italian and my children all have Italian-ish names, so names that have Italian origins but not really unusual so they are continually mispronounced or misspelled. I think I'm very aware of this because I have a very Italian name that is quite unusual here and people always have problems with. So I need a boys name can anyone help?

Two I'm considering are Rocco and Carlo what do you think?

Tell me about it .. I have an Italian male name and the problems I have when in Italy! Refusing my credit card because 'it's my husbands', twin room instead of double being booked etc etc.

Oriunda- that's a prob we have found with a lot of names i love Nicola, Andrea, and Giovanni but the would be mis-pronounced and the first two are girls names here.

Wow some really cool names suggested, Vito has already been used on one of our dcs already! I love nico and Cosmo/ cosimo however dp not that keen humph!
After such a positive response to Rocco I think we are def leaning towards that, with Santino as a middle name I think. :)

Meant to say, OP, Rocco is great. Are you sure you can't be persuaded on Ludo? Ludovico is fantastic!

You've already got my other favourite Italian name, Luca. How about...

Michele is nice but won't work in the UK (will be called Michelle). Samuele will be called Samuel as the 'e' is hard for non-Italians (DH's name ends with an 'e' and he usually drops it for English speakers to make it easier for them). The 'G' names also have a pronunciation problem.

Never heard of Santiago in Italy .... So think it's Spanish.

I was going to say Vito as well.

Italian Niccolo in ds1's class at school. Don't think it causes any confusion but I guess it might get shortened to Nick when he's older.

DH is Italian. DS is called Cosmo (FIL is Cosimo). Like Rocco a lot. Also Alessandro (prefer Alex as nn).

Anything but Matteo & Luca. Both beautiful names but are very much overdone. I even know two boys whose names are written Lucas are now called "Luca" by their mums.

Rocco is good. I'm not that keen on Carlo.

Love Lorenzo-Enzo he says it reminds him of gonzo from the muppets hmmph

A close friend has a Raphael I love it but can't have it Santiago is really nice is it Spanish? I've not heard it before
