Cara, Lara or Cecily?

Which one do you prefer and why?

I appreciate that Cara and Lara are very similar, which is one of the reasons I can't decide which I like more. Do you think Cara will constantly be saying "no, it's Cara with a C not a K" or will Lara get mistaken for Laura? I am not as keen on Clara, so can't even avoid having to choose that way!

All 3 names go with our surname and the middle name will be Elizabeth.

Thank you in advance!

Lara because I think it is so much prettier!

PreciousPeach · 29/03/2014 20:42

Cara

NadiaWadia · 29/03/2014 13:04

Lara, no contest.

Benchmark · 29/03/2014 12:15

Lara then Cara then Cecily. Don't spose you like Cora or Coralie?

IslaValargeone · 29/03/2014 11:20

Lara, very elegant.

shineypeacock · 29/03/2014 11:19

Love them all. All on our (my) shortlist for DD who ended up as Flora, but Cecily is top if my list for yet to be conceived DD2 ( just need to convince Dh of this)

FoodieMum3 · 27/03/2014 16:20

Cara, it's beautiful.

bouquetofpencils · 27/03/2014 15:34

Love Lara.

In order of pref; Cecily, Lara, Cara

Cecily is lovely - very English rose. Lara is nice - makes me think of Dr Zhivago. I quite like Cara - it wouldn't occur to me to spell it with a K though.

Kantha · 27/03/2014 15:24

Lara is my favourite, although Cecily sounds best with Elizabeth.

MoominsYonisAreScary · 27/03/2014 15:21

Cara, im a kara

DramaAlpaca · 27/03/2014 15:20

I think Cara, for the simple reason that it goes best with Elizabeth.

I like all three names a lot.

minipie · 27/03/2014 15:18

Cara or Cecily, both names I absolutely love. Not keen on Lara for some reason.

hunreeeal · 27/03/2014 13:30

Cara is the nicest. Pretty, simple, stylish, easy to spell and suits all ages.

Lara is OK but only as nickname for Larissa. It sounds a bit stark on its own.

Not keen on Cecily although I do like Cecilia.

TheBigBumTheory · 27/03/2014 13:27

Cara, I would say. Also like Sara, although it's not on your list.
