Leo? Louis? Eli? Isaac? Help us with a boys name!

DC2 is due in a few weeks but we don't know the gender. DD1 is Rosa. We like names of the 'classic but underused' variety and are really struggling to come up with options for a boy (my suggestions may not exactly be 'underused' but they give an idea of our taste). Any suggestions gratefully received!

Thanks so much for the comments and suggestions everyone! Of the alternatives offered I'm quite taken with Elliott and Saul (lots of Paul's in our familiy so could be a nice nod to them without actually using Paul iyswim). I like Henry and Edward but DH not keen on either of those... Good to know my choices sound ok with Rosa too :-)

That's a great list! 3/4 are on our boy shortlist too. Well until we realised Isaac sounded shocking with our surname. Eli is my least favourite.

I think Isaac goes really well with Rosa. So does Leo. Both echo sounds in 'Rosa' (Z and O) but they are different overall.

Oh they are all to my taste too though perhaps I would prefer Leon to Leo. I don't think you can go wrong with any of these names. I'm not really helpful. Eli would be my favourite but it depends how the 't' is pronounced.

Another favourite of mine is Saul which is in a similar vein?

I like Eli and Louis, though not sure Eli classes as under used as Elijah is quite popular, and I think Louis & Louie are too.

Aha! You clearly like boys names with I,L and E.

Our DS would have been Rosa if a girl, so clearly we have similar taste in names.

Our DS is actually Elliot, which has I, L and E.

Ergo, therefore, name him Elliot!

Or, you know, don't if you don't want to!

I know two boys called Eli, one aged 5 and one aged 16. The older one hated his name because people always said he had a girl's name, and he found that hard to deal with.

From your list, I prefer Leo or Isaac.
