Which do you prefer and why?

Xavier - unless you pronounce it like X-Men! I think Ace is a cool NN for Asa but it sounds a bit like the computer brand, sorry!

PreciousPeach · 25/03/2014 22:10

Xavier would be pronounced Zay ve er with nn Xavi and Asa pronounced Ay sah with nn Ace Smile

No just no.

oscarwilde · 25/03/2014 22:19

I would assume Asa is a nickname for a girl but depends where you live and how common it is as to whether that's an issue. I like Xavier
Ace as a nn is horrid imo.

DramaAlpaca · 25/03/2014 22:33

I much prefer Xavier, and Xavi is cute.

I know Asa is a boy's name, but it just looks girly to me. And I don't like Ace at all.

shoobidoo · 25/03/2014 22:39

Xavier - cool, classic and strong.

Asa is a girls name in Sweden and I too find it sounds girly.

bootsycollins · 25/03/2014 22:43

I can't stand Xavier and the pronounciation, pretentious.

Love Asa, really cool name. I've only ever known one Asa and he was a beautiful man Smile

homeanddry · 25/03/2014 22:49

Asa? How would you pronounce it? Azza? Ayza? Ayssa?

Don't like it anyway. Makes me think of washing powder, or medication.

Xavier is a good name though.

homeanddry · 25/03/2014 22:50

Sorry, missed your pronunciation post.

Mireio · 25/03/2014 23:04

I like both, but I'd love to see Asa used.

PreciousPeach · 26/03/2014 10:53

It seems they are both marmite names Grin
