Jayden Lee or Mason ??

Hi this is my first baby and I've been unsure on names since day 1!!

These two have stuck with me for a while all though I do keep going on and off both! I don't have a middle name for Mason yet, as I can't think of any, so ideas are welcome!

But I do like it and Jayden Lee isn't a double barrelled name or anything he'll just be called Jayden, but I just like the sound of lee with it :)

What do you think, I wasn't too sure if these were 'chavvy' or 'common' names !

I'm barely aware of what day it is but I seem to know the name of every celebrity child in the world. Combined with basing my liking of names on whether I've had a good experience -

Jayden = lovely lad.

Mason = Kardashian.

everlong I'm always being ironic about the whole baby names thing. I love commenting on baby names, its antagonistic i know and immense fun. But really, never take me seriously fgs!

To everyone expecting, A new baby is YOUR little human being, the life YOU made. Names are the least important part. Its essential you love him or her to the very moon and back, cuddle them to absolute pieces. Never let them go. But call them what you like Grin

I think some of the names people fall all over on mn are bloody awful but I would never go on to a thread and say that.

I really wanted Kate and William to call their baby Colin Voldemort. Was most disappointed when they plumped for George.

must admit, I do like a good baby names thread. I vote for Macademia. I'm sure there is a Judge Macademia. Sounds a bit like Academia, which is another solid name

You have just made me google the names of UK high court judges. Other than one stray Brian, they all look pretty solidly MN approved to me...

Has anyone actually googled the names of high court judges before making such sweeping statements??? There is a real mish mash of names, certainly not all on the MN approved list!

Jayden. I prefer the original Jadon spelling but that's an asthetic thing.

Mason is just Jason with an M to me. The same but different.

The thing you need to think of is, will he be taken seriously as a high court judge with that name?

As everyone knows high court judges are only taken seriously because of their names and not because of the face that they are judges of the high court.

From the names pinned on the wall at the local nursery's baby room it seems to be in at the moment...

MrsDeVere - I don't read the Daily Mail :D and I actually can't stand that 'paper', but it is my personal opinion that names do and can become dated after 20 years.
I would consider names like Courtney, Jade, Shannon, Chelsea, Jodie, Kayleigh, Jordan (for a girl) and Kirsty to be dated to the mid-to-late 90s, since these were all top 100 names back then, and for many of them their popularity has decreased quite significantly - for example Kirsty and Jordan aren't even in the top 500 anymore.
Those above aren't the popular names of today. The reason people don't often pick them for their children's names anymore is because they are dated. It will eventually be the same in the future with all these hyphenated names with May/Mae/Mai and Grace stuck on the end, as well as all the -ayden and -ason names for boys. Just my opinion.
