What do you think of name list I have got so far?

They're all Greek names, but I'm expecting twins so I have to choose things that somehow fit. Ideally, I'd like to name them after someone, but I'm still gathering ideas, and may use his name as a middle for both of them.

For boys, I've narrowed it down to, as nothing else seems to fit:

Alekos
Dimos
Thanos

For girls, I've got more ideas, and recently added some more:

Aliki
Areti
Athene
Callisto
Nefeli
Stavroula
Stefina
Theano

Both of my daughters have names with 3 syllables, so the girls have to fit this. My dad told me that they're all terrible, so I'm not sure what to make of this. Blush

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I like Alekos, Thanos and Aliki.

Well the boys names are all ok.
Don't like stavroula at all
Areti just makes me think of the French word for stop. Arête.
Prefer Athene and Callisto.
Why the Greek theme if there is no Greek connection?

Seminyak · 23/03/2014 14:36

Why do they have to have 3 syllables like your other girls' names?

And why does your dad think he's gonna name them???

Think they're all lovely though!! Especially Callisto :)

Ciwti · 23/03/2014 13:53

I really like Calypso, but it makes me think of lollies.

I'm not Greek, but I'm going with that theme. I don't know why he thinks they're terrible. He's already chosen a couple of names for them if they're girls, he says. Confused

My daughters names are Eleri and Marina. Grin

My favourites are Alekos, Callisto, and Athene.

I'm sorry, OP - I'm confused. Are you Greek? Why does your dad think they're terrible? What are your daughters names?

Ciwti · 23/03/2014 12:45

*girls names have to fit the 3 syllables.
