Vote for Astrid here. It's been a favourite name for 30 years. I won't be having any more children so you can have it as a gift from me Smile

grobagsforever · 30/03/2014 13:16

Astrid, my Astrid is the sweetest, most affectionate non Germany camp counsellor you could imagine!

bouncingbelle · 19/03/2014 22:05

Cassia.

Astrid is just too...harsh.

hunreeeal · 19/03/2014 22:04

Sharon is nicer than Astrid.

Tigerstripes · 19/03/2014 21:04

Cassia is lovely. I agree with the scary German camp counsellor image of Astrid above.

MrsJohnDeere · 19/03/2014 21:01

Astrid.

Really don't like Cassia, sorry!

KatherinaMinola · 19/03/2014 20:51

Cassia is so not going to be Sharon! Grin

I like them both, a lot.

NationMcKinley · 19/03/2014 20:51

I love both what about Astrid Cassia or Cassia Astrid? Smile

dustwhatdust · 19/03/2014 20:48

Definitely Cassia - sounds lovely, special ...
Sorry but I really do not like Astrid and never have , it's hard .

Mrscupcake23 · 19/03/2014 20:41

I prefer Cassie to cassia

AmysTiara · 19/03/2014 20:39

Cassia is lovely, Astrid is harsh and ugly sounding

noodlebum · 18/03/2014 09:21

Astrid is one of my favourite names, although I like your pronunciation of Cassia better than Cash-uh Smile

aGirlDownUnder1 · 18/03/2014 06:03

Cassia is a lovely name. Astrid sounds like a name of a space station

williaminajetfighter · 18/03/2014 01:08

Sorry OP I really dislike Astrid. Makes me think of a German camp counsellor who has stringy blonde hair, wears Birkenstocks and does 1000 laps in the pool each day.

Cassia seems a bit incomplete and it does make me think of Casio electronics.

Why not name her Cassiopeia? A lovely name, Greek origin and very romantic. Then you can shorten to Cass or Cassia etc.

Cezella · 18/03/2014 00:52

Cassia- don't like Astrid at all!

squoosh · 18/03/2014 00:38

Astrid is all over MN at the moment. Awful name.

alita7 · 17/03/2014 21:43

See when she's born. Both are nice but would suit very different people.

Benchmark · 17/03/2014 20:53

Cassia!

LargeBustedMamma · 17/03/2014 20:22

Think Cassia is one of those name which is becoming increasingly popular and imagine it being like Sharon was when I was younger. Pretty name which I prefer over Astrid though

Perchance2dream · 17/03/2014 19:51

Cassia how pretty

hunreeeal · 17/03/2014 18:37

Cassia, by far. Lovely name.

Astrid is harsh and faddy.

Magpieblue · 17/03/2014 16:49

Astrid. It would be very high on my list, except I once knew an Astrid who was quite up herself and I didn't like her much, although I loved her name.

Ilikepancakes · 17/03/2014 16:39

Astrid

LadyPeterWimsey · 17/03/2014 15:54

Cassia

DramaAlpaca · 17/03/2014 15:53
