Just been out with dh discussing name options for baby due next week.

We have settled on a boys name and backup but finding girls much harder - down to three.

They are:

Lara
Anna
Cordelia

Which would you pick? I'm a little worried Cordelia is a mouthful with our surname but dh is quite keen on it.

Any middle name suggestions welcome too!

Oh yay - you chose Anna! Just saw that.

Excellent choice!

emmyloo2 · 21/03/2014 07:38

Anna. Beautiful name. Don't like Cordelia - too hard and a mouthful.

Lara also nice but not as nice as Anna.

Vijac · 20/03/2014 08:42

Anna is best then Lara IMO. Cordelia is a bit of a mouthful.

Update - we have had her (yesterday) and we went for Anna Cordelia. Really pleased with it. We did sleep on veering away at the last minute to save Cordelia for a second baby but decided to go ahead and use it.

She is doing well, a little small and a lot to get used to for us but loving every minute. Lovely to have somewhere to discuss names during pregnancy.

We have a Lara and it sounds lovely in a Scottish accent, so not just RP

(We're not Scottish)

buttercrumble · 19/03/2014 16:01

Love Lara Smile

jellybeans · 19/03/2014 15:57

Lara

hunreeeal · 19/03/2014 09:58

Anna Coralie would be a lovely name.

noodlebum · 19/03/2014 09:19

Yeah I agree, Coralie is a lovely alternative Smile

HippoCritic · 19/03/2014 04:02

I love Anna Cordelia! Sounds quite strong, but pretty- flows well, not dull or anything. Amazing name!

Kaekae · 18/03/2014 23:36

I know a Lara, I think it sounds harsh. I prefer Cordelia.
