Quirky middle names

I'm reasonably conservative when it comes to first names but am looking for something a bit more unsual or quirky for the middle name. At the moment I like:

Girls' middle names:

Blythe
Fleur

Boys' middle names:

Griffin
Digby

Any other ideas for me? Are there names you would use as a middle name but not as a first name?

Good ideas - I especially like Wren, Bliss, Sorrel, Ludo, Darwin, Wilde. I can see the famous surname ones being a problem though, they'd get asked "any relation" wouldn't they?

I thought of Penfold yesterday Grin I quite like it but suspect I'm not brave enough!

Are there any names of places, people, hobbies etc that represent things you like? We know a little boy who has Stirling as a middle name because his father is very keen on F1. This will out me, but our DD has Olympia as a mn, named after her great grandmother but also conceived during London 2012. We couldn't not use it!

My friend's did the classic and gave their daughter the middle name "Aspen". Wink. Also know a girl with Wreford as middle name.

These names shouldn't hide as middle names, though, get them out there! Darwin is quite cool.

I love love love Griffin! In that vain, how about Merlin? Also Ludo, Rafferty, Sage, Kit

For a girl, maybe Willow, Violet, Flora, Juno?

beginning, we are also going to put in family surnames as 2nd middle name. One of those names (which we would use for a girl) is quite cool and the other (which we would use for a boy) is sadly a very uncool old man's name!

so maybe that reduces the "need" for a quirky 1st middle name... still fancy the idea though...

Our little one will an old family surname as one of his middle names. Links him to that side of the family and is very quirky.

I went to school with a boy who's middle name was Black which I thought was cool.

depends on he names used obv but in the ones I know it works nicely

could also use singer/writer

this is a good idea op

I know some people who have gone a step further and used the middle name as a link up to the first name iyswim
so first name is same as a footballer and the middle name is the footballer's surname
and another where the initials spell out a fave type of car

Fox is good. But DH will then suggest Badger. He is obsessed with badgers. And then it will all get very silly....
