Imogen is lovely, although I am biased as it's my DD's name. We often have people commenting on it, saying how nice it is. They could just be randomly flattering of course, but I'd like to think it is rather nice Smile We don't know any other Imogen's so not overly popular either

Imogen nice but it will definitely get shortened to immie which I really dislike. Gabby not as nice either. I like Sophia...reminds me of actress Sophia Bush! Sophie very popular though.

Imogen is a beautiful name to me, for personal reasons. Imogen's nickname was Immie.

I'd not pick either personally, Gabriella and Isabella sound very 'matchy' and I'd not pick the same initial for siblings. Sophia to me would be a better choice that either. Re the surname, has your first dd had any issues? If not I'd really stop worrying so much.

Ahh no OP! What happened to Sophia? You love that name. Don't be put off over such a tiny thing. Honestly Sophia Lush sounds much nicer than Imogen Lush or Gabriella Lush.

I'm really sad you're ditching it.

May get shortened to Imo. I know an Imogen called Imo. I like Imogen but not imo!

Much prefer Gabriella but not convinced about Gabriella and Isabella. Not keen at all on Imogen and Immie even more!

I would never have thought of that and doubt anyone else will tbh! Especially other children which is really the only thing you need be concerned with.

Someone said 'I'm a gin lush' could be a problem. When I first heard it I thought that was ridiculous. But not I'm doubting myself and wondering if other people will see this or come up with it.

Can't really see any problems. I suppose if it's shortened to Im she could be Im Lush (I'm Lush) but that's not a terrible thing. And that's really the worst I can think of!

Can I ask you ladies something that I don't want to make too public (I know bit late!) as my surname is fairly uncommon but has created a few issues along the way with picking a name ..but here goes... Can you see a problem with Imogen Lush when you read them together?
