When you were at school...

What name's were there always more than one of in your year? I was one of 4 Louise's! Also 3 Georgia's, 3 Lucy's, 2 Emma's, 2 Jessica's, 2 Elizabeth's (and that was at a small all girls school with just 50 girls in the year). I decided at a young age my children would have slightly more unique names as I got fed up of being "Louise M" rather than just "Louise!

Susan,x 2 Carol x 3, Pamela, Patricia, Linda x 2, Christine x 3, Margaret, Jennifer, Sheila, Valerie, Jane , Ann x 2; not all in the same class at the same time but throughout my education.

I think there was 7-10 each of

Sophie's.
Emily's.
Rebecca's.

In my year, which was about 180 girls.

Also more than a few Hannah's, Lucy's, Emma's, Charlotte's, Kate/Cat/Catherines, Abigail's and Elizabeth's.

Born mid 70s.

Caroline was THE name at my school. It seems very dated now but Carolina might be nice.

I was born in 1990. Lots of Sarah, Sophie, Jade, Rebecca, Holly, Stacey, Leanne. Everyone had Louise as a middle name. Lots of Matthew, Daniel and Michael!

I've never met anyone else with my name Grin

Surprised at how few mentions of Amanda there are. I lived in Amanda Central. Quite a few Emmas, Sarahs and Claires too, a sprinkling of Carolines and Elizabeths (all known as Lizzie), Tracys and Nicolas.

The boys were Stephen, David (loads), Robert, Kevin, Mark and John.

I was born mid sixties, the girls in my class were all called Sarah, Catherine ( various spellings) Susan , Nicola, Rachel, and Alison .

Boys were Ian, Nigel, Mark , Nicholas , and Jeremy.

Ds1 once had to do some exercise at school where they got into groups according to Dad's name,Jeremy was the biggest group!

infants; 2 Darrens, 2 Davids, 2 Kevins,

senior; 2 Sophies, 2 Scotts, 2 Emmas, 2 Sarahs, 2 Taras, 2 Roberts, the thing is there were only about 30 kids from a British background in my year - so it was quite a high amount of duplicates, most of the year was of Asian descent and we had three Amandeeps in our tutor group.

Soo many Sarah's! Victoria's, Sophie, Emma's (there were two Emma's just in a year of 26 at my primary school!) Hannah's. Plenty of Thomas, Jack, ben's for boys.

There were several Lisas, Sarahs & Claires at my school but i was in my teens before i met anyone with the same name as me and i've never met anyone since.

I deliberately gave my DD a name that wasn't common but which she didn't have to spell out every time (like i do).

There's no one with the same name as her at her current school (Approx. 400 girls) though plenty of Ellie & Olivias.

Lots of Danielle's, Kaitlyn's/Katelyn's/Caitlin's, Hannah's, Emma's, and Jessica's for me. For boys it was Jacob's, Benjamin's, Daniel's and Matthew's.

1989/1990. Mine had loads of Sams and Jasons. Fairly varied asides from these though. Also, most girls had the middle name of either Marie or Louise, I noticed!

I was born in 87 and at secondary school was one of 3 Charlottes, I really hated having a popular name!

In my class the overkill name was Laura -- there were 4 and they always sat together, and there were even more Lauras in other classes of that year.
