Carla
Claudia
Darcy
Francesca
Genevieve
Lana
Lara
Jean
Scout
Seren
Sorrel
Stella
Xanthe

Are some a bit try hard? Want to avoid things like Amelia, Eva, Sophia, Olivia: all gorgeous names but know too many. Ideally a name that doesn't date or place her would be good. Thanks!

Lara or Francesca for me

LillyPops · 07/03/2014 21:26

I like Lara and Darcy

I LOVE Claudia.

Not keen on the rest

Thanks for the replies! Never would have thought of Lana being anal backwards, this is why it's good to ask.

I like Sienna, but have good friends with a Sienna. I like Saskia and love Lois, but surname begins with S, so have tried to avoid names ending in S…

Not keen on Phaedra, bit too unusual for me I think.

I like Francesca from your list its suits any age and great nn's too. I do like Scout but I think it would be cute when they're little but not on a grown woman. The others aren't to my taste

Claudia and Genevieve are gorgeous.

I dislike Darcy, Stella, Carla, Jean and Scout.

The others are nice.

SimplySara · 07/03/2014 21:08

I like Francesca, Sorrel and Seren from your list.

Yes, Sorrel is an herb just like Lily is a flower and Ivy is a plant. So?

Sorrell can also be a reference to reddish-brown hair.

PsammeadPaintedTheLion · 07/03/2014 21:06

Genevieve is lovely.

I have a Francesca!

Sorrel is nice but makes me think of sorrow.

Seren is ok.

The rest are fine but not to my taste.

Loads of Darcy/Darcey's round here

Saskia
Lois
Phaedra (it is a girls name, despite the Geldof girl...)
Romily

Oh also love Genevieve, beautiful name.

CPtart · 07/03/2014 21:03

Most are a bit try hard.
Lara is ok but prefer Cara.

Clargo55 · 07/03/2014 21:03

Love Xanthe. I would avoid Lana (Anal spelt backwards).

What about Sienna?

MyNameIsKenAdams · 07/03/2014 20:58

Lara and Claudia for me.

Scout is a middle name at best.

Sorrell is a herb.

Jean is too old.
