I like names that can be shortened to cute nn's?

Like... Harriet to Hattie
Matilda to Tilly ( ur rent front runner but willing to change my mind!)

Husband is Irish and would prefer an Irish (girls) name, but is willing to let me go with whatever I really like within reason.

Phoebe to bee was a consideration, but I think I've gone off it.

6 weeks to go.
Any ideas? Smile

Pronounced ay-lish, the first syllable ay as in "day", the second rhyming with "wish".

AB - I quite like that pronunciation of Kitty Grin

I'm drawing a total blank on nice Irish names that have a nice nickname. I think it's because the nice ones are short enough by themselves (Caoimhe, Grainne, Sorcha, Aoife) and of course they all have to pronunciation difficulties.

Best I could come up with was Grace/Gracie and that's the anglicised version of Grainne.

Sorry. I'm a bit useless. Shall keep thinking though in case something occurs to me!

My dd's middle name is Beatrix and she gets called Bea (or Bea Bea by me Smile).

I love Birdie but not sure what its short for?

I do prefer more unusual names...so not Annabelle/ Annie for example.
Really like Kitty but have the same accent problem. Dh sounds it kaddie Confused

Dislike Minerva and Cressida.
