I think it's lovely but I'm not sure if enough time has passed to escape the 'teenage witch' label. Thought please - thanks

Same as Mrsindecision I see! I don't know what it is about that terrible song that it is etched on my brain forever!

squoosh · 03/03/2014 17:52

I do think it's lovely but...........

I try to think of Audrey Hepburn but if I'm being honest I think of this young lady who 'sang' Boys, Boys, Boys. She had massive jiggly boobs and a see through white bikini.

littlepeas · 03/03/2014 17:46

I know a Sabrina - she doesn't 'to shorten it in general, but I've heard her dh call her Bree, or maybe it was bee. I like it and think of my friend, not the witch.

GoldenDaffodil · 03/03/2014 17:45

Thanks very much for your feedback. DH and I still love it so it remains top of the list.

Sabrina is really nice!
I'm adding it to my list of names I'm sorry I never got to use.

princessalbert · 03/03/2014 10:31

Umm no.

I know a RL Sabrina. It doesn't 'suit' her iykwim

winterhat · 03/03/2014 10:29

Pretty and underused.

StrawberryCheese · 03/03/2014 10:20

My hairdresser is called Sabrina. She's awesome! A red headed, tattooed, black belt kick boxer.

I think it's a great name.

Leeds2 · 03/03/2014 10:17

I also know a Sabina, if that helps!

BirthdayMuppet · 03/03/2014 10:04

I prefer Sabine, but also knew a Sabrina at school who was called Scabby Sabby by the bullies. She wasn't a particularly pleasant child but she didn't deserve that.

thegreatgatsby101 · 03/03/2014 06:41

Gorgeous name. And underused.

SlinkyB · 03/03/2014 02:44

I have a friend called this - she's affectionately known as Beanie. Love her name.

Cuxibamba · 03/03/2014 02:41

I love it and wouldn't think of the teenage witch in particular, although I loved it. Her generation won't think of it- the name is beautiful and underused imo.

Mireio · 03/03/2014 00:20

It could be shortened to Sabi / Sabby, Sabri, Brina, Bree, Rina

LePetitPont · 01/03/2014 11:30

How about Sabina - no r? I loved the teenage witch!

juneybean · 01/03/2014 09:56

I was a huge STTW fan so it does make me think of the show, but it's a lovely name!

NadiaWadia · 01/03/2014 09:54

Bree?

GoldenDaffodil · 01/03/2014 09:53

What could Sabrina be shortened to?

Shock I'm not a teenage witch. Sabrina is the most desirable woman in the western hemisphere - model, novelist, international jet-setter... Grin

OneMoreThenNoMore · 01/03/2014 08:44

It's lovely! I do think of the teenage witch when I first hear it, but that's not a negative connotation.

I'd guess that only females who were teenagers in the mid 90s that would associate the name with the TV programme- most people would just think it's a lovely name.

ReallyGoodDrawer · 01/03/2014 08:40

I think of the teenage witch but it was my favourite programme ever (apart from maybe Clarissa) so it wouldn't put me off because she was super cool! It won't affect your dd within her age group anyway.

HyvaPaiva · 01/03/2014 08:39

It makes me think of Audrey Hepburn! It's lovely.

Sundaedelight · 01/03/2014 08:38

Sabrina is very underused and yet most are familiar with it. A very pretty name, used to know a German Sabine.

OhNoYouExpedidnt · 01/03/2014 08:36

I think teenage witch straight away BUT that's because it's the only one I know. If it was the name of someone I actually knew I would think of them. I say go for it!

meditrina · 01/03/2014 08:35

I like it.

I wouldn't think teenage witch, rather Charlie's Angels.
