In order I would go:

Juliet
Matilda
Edith
Lilian
Olive
Cate
Jess

Mireio · 26/02/2014 17:06

Cate- better as a nickname for Catherine
Juliet- too 'Romeo and Juliet' for me
Matilda- Too popular at the moment
Jess- better as a nickname for Jessamine or Jessica
Olive- not bad
Lilian- dislike
Edith- great, this is my favourite. Edie would be a nice nickname.

MauriceMinor · 23/02/2014 07:48

And I love Juliet spelled that way, rather than Juliette, which looks unnecessarily frilly.

MauriceMinor · 23/02/2014 07:46

Juliet then Matilda. Not keen on the others. Juliet is very pretty.

MyNameIsKenAdams · 22/02/2014 19:27

Matilda, I imagined using the nn Tilda.

I prefer Cate or Juliet
Then Matilda (love but not keen on Milly)
Jess is nice and Olive okay, nice nicknames
Edith is okay but seems a bit popular right now, not keen on Lillian

WeGotAnnie · 22/02/2014 18:14

Juliet leaps out. Lovely name.

puds11isNAUGHTYnotNAICE · 22/02/2014 18:10

I have to say I like Matilda the best because I have one Grin

Then Lilian, then Juliet. I prefer Kitty to Cate.

rebecklet · 22/02/2014 18:09

Juliet is the winner for me - it is lovely.

KatherinaMinola · 22/02/2014 17:07

I like Cate (as long as it's short for Catherine...), Juliet and Lilian. Nothing wrong with the others. I wouldn't use Jess as a name on its own but short for Jessica it's fine.

Yama · 22/02/2014 17:03

I love Juliet.

I like Cate and Jess.

Don't like the rest. At all.

onedev · 22/02/2014 17:00

I love them all with the exception of Cate (or any version of it).

BabyMummy29 · 22/02/2014 16:56

Only one I really like is Juliet

Cate - don't like the spelling
Jess - very common
Lilian, Olive & Edith - old ladyish
Matilda reminds me of the girl in the film

ToffeeJungle · 22/02/2014 16:53

They are all lovely, good choices!

In order of preference:
Matilda
Cate
Lilian
Jess
Olive
Juliet
Edith

AGoodPirate · 22/02/2014 16:48

I like Juliet.

lljkk · 22/02/2014 12:12

I don't like Cate or Matilda. None of the others excite me but nothing wrong with them either. Probably Lillian is my fave by small margin.

SilkStalkings · 22/02/2014 11:56

Like them all except Olive but that's because I'm Olivia and when I was a kid nobody could pronounce it so I got called Olive or Oliver.

iwouldgoouttonight · 22/02/2014 11:47

I love them all (that doesn't help does it!) apart from maybe Jess but that might be because there are quite a few Jessicas around here so its quite popular.

If it had to put them in order:
Juliet
Olive
Lilian
Matilda
Cate
Edith
Jess

Frikadellen · 22/02/2014 11:39

Lillian
Juliett
Olive
Edith

Cate Matilda Jess dont like at all sorry

MyNameIsKenAdams · 22/02/2014 09:29

My sister is Katie, which is deterring me from using a K.

Cate
Jessica
Lilian
Olive
Edith
Juliet
Matilda

thegreatgatsby101 · 22/02/2014 08:52

I like Kate the best, but spelt like I just have.

NadiaWadia · 22/02/2014 00:55

Sorry maybe that was harsh. I should say that Olive doesn't appeal to me as my only associations are:

  1. small green or black thing that goes in a jar, or with pizza
  2. Olive Oyl, Popeye's girlfriend
Also I just don't think it has a nice sound.

But it seems to be becoming popular for some reason, so other people must have other associations, I suppose.

squoosh · 22/02/2014 00:37

Juliet is the one I like.
