What names make you think of a sweet, pretty little Girl ?

Basically that, what girls name would you associate with a sweet, pretty little girly girl???

I think Lucy and Alice but want more please

DD is Elizabeth.
she is not yet 2 and her current nickname is "Jedi Leia" as she loves wielding her brothers' lightsabers!
and she is getting pretty good at it!Grin

the only girly thing about her is the dresses she wears!Wink

Hermioneweasley if you read my post then you would see that I wasn't saying that I wanted a pretty girly name, I was saying that I love Lucy and I associate that with lovely, pretty, girl girls as in my personally experiance the ones are know are... I also stated that they are also all hugely susscesful business women in there own right and are certainly not " Wet"

I was asking more for suggestions what other people would consider as "sweet girly names" as I know that some of the names I would other people wouldn't and that's been shown in this post with things like Lola ect!

So yes it does appear that names that I do like pretty famine names that doesn't mean I don't expect my dd not to grow up or have a right to vote etc! I was mearly asking for suggestions on what others points of view were

But she doesn't. She posted higher up to say she nearly called her DD Lucy, which she associates with sweet girly girls, but decided it didn't suit her, and she has a terrific DD who lives in her wellies and likes mud and trees and stuff.

I've read the whole thread and I still don't understand why the OP wants sweet girly girl names. Perhaps she doesn't expect her daughter to grow into a woman?

All are strong adult names with cute girly nick names, tick both boxes.

Oh ok sorry - so you saw the bit about the OP's daughter being adventurous, bold and fun, that's all right then. BTW. I agree with you, much better than being sweet and pretty!

Arohaitis and Lizlemon I totally agree with you you on Lola, from my experiance Lola is what lots on here would class as middle class and trashy around the area I live

Ursula a fantastic name- who wouldn't want to be a bear?- was quite tempted by it myself- but she is also in Women in Love and can't recall what kind of character she was in that. Whereas the heroine of a popular children's novel (if I have guessed right) is a great role model.
I think the meanings of names are important, as well as the associations they carry. But you can't always tell what associations OTHER people will have unfortunately. Eg I have a dd named after a civil rights heroine but apparently to some it's a girly name Shock
DD is not girly!

Yeh. Just as well. Not saying children have a cross to bear! It's just an odd choice, when there are so many names. Would u choose something that even SOMEpeople view as trampy!!? But hey ho.

My younger daughter is called Lucy Abigail, she was a beautiful girly girl when she was a child. She is now 17 and girly girl wouldn't be words I would use to describe her, gin inducing would be though!
